This has to be the most sought after grocery funfest that store owners and families alike look forward to. With the incredible discounts, savings and promos it’s no wonder that the Super8 Funfest is always jam packed. Words like bargain, buy one take one or anything free is music to most everyone’s ears but none more so than moms like me. No matter how much you make or how wealthy you are perceived I think we still gravatate towards anything that has a modicum of “savings” in it.
That being said Super8, mostly known for its mass appeal is slowly gaining more and more customers especially moms who are out to hold the purse strings and earn some points while they’re at it. You’ll find most Super8 stores near a market. Sometimes grocery shopping is purely preference, so if you’re willing to do without some luxuries such as those offered by other supermarket chains in exchange for affordable and discounted products then definitely Super8 is the place to be.
Would you believe if I told you that shopping at Super8 will give you some major discounts and on top of that earn you points that is as good as cash when you redeem it? I guess you’ll have to see for yourself what I’m talking about. Read on!
Held at the World Trade Center, Super8 fills the massive events venue with partner brand booths that have games, activities and of course discounts. There’s a food court area where you can get breakfast, lunch or dinner depending when you visit.
The saying is true, the early bird gets the worm so it’s best to go in the morning so that your day is a productive one. Also, this is not a one man show. To make the process more efficient there are separate counters for ordering, paying and claiming your items. So best to bring at least a 3 man team and more if you’d like to participate in all the games and activities they have in store.
They’ve pretty much made sure that everything was at the customer’s convenience. Organized lines and claiming booths and plenty of posters and boards to give shoppers all the information they’ll need to make their visit to the Funfest a fruitful one.
A collaboration with PayMaya gave customers a 10% discount on their purchases. Cashless shopping is becoming a trend and is already reaching the masses with affordable and convenient options such as PayMaya.
The grocery store chain has an unbelievable load of promos of over 2000 changing every two weeks. Seems you can visit any Super8 store and be guaranteed a discount of something.
Super8 seems to be changing with the times. They have a mobile app that shoppers can use to see the latest discounts and promos and points earned. At the Funfest shoppers also had a chance to win some goodies and extra points when they visited booths and had merchants digitally stamp their e-passport.
There’s no denying that Super8 has gone to great lengths to make the shopping experience both fun and rewarding.
This year’s theme was all about the heroes in us. As a mom, I kind of consider myself to be a hero of sorts trying to keep my kids fed, clothed, educated and happy. This is a theme that Super8 played off of and young and old alike enjoyed all the “superhero” themed antics and surprises.
With the just released Infinity War, local versions of Iron Man, Captain America, Spiderman and more could be seen all around the event.
I couldn’t resist taking a picture at my favorite baby brand booth, Johnson and Johnson! So even for IG moms like me there’s something to enjoy.
Just like most groceries, Super8 also has their own brand of essentials. From paper towels to bottled water, spaghetti sauce and noodles those that aren’t brand sensitive can enjoy these household necessities at a cheaper price.
They also boast of a Fresh Options section now so you can do all your market shopping in one place.
There’s also a bayad center to pay bills in some branches. Most stores have about 15 minutes of free wifi so you can use the app.
Are you wondering just what kind of discounts could be had at the Super8 Funfest? Well, I made sure to get as many pictures of the various booths and their promos. Each booth had their fun superhero themed gimmick and you could see the shoppers enjoying the fun activities. The Pinoy humor could be found all around with stand up comedy bits and jokes.
I had my fill of sampling different products but only have a few to show you since I was too eager to try most of them. What stood out for me were the new Alaska Chocolate syrup, Koko Krunch just add water cereal, and Nescafe coffee.
