I love dishes with pineapple in them. It always feels so festive. My next Instant Pot inspired recipe was this easy Hawaiian Pork dish. When I cook with the Instant pot I lose the usual anxiety I have. Stove top cooking requires more effort from em hence the often burned dishes.

In this case though it’s another example of practically throwing everything in the pot. I did start however by sauteing the onion and red peppers. Then I mixed the water, cornstarch, reserved pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and garlic. Sauted the pork and then added the pineapple chunks.

Believe me it seems complicated but it was fairly easy to follow.

The settings in an Instant Pot are quite a few that it can be a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, saute/ sear, make yogurt, and even delay start of cooking.

The mixture of water, cornstarch, reserved pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and garlic blended so well that the flavor was very savory. Another plus point!
