They’re back! Carla Abellana and Chef Jackie Ang Po are back for the 2nd season of Del Monte Kitchenomics airing on July 12 on GMA-7. This season features dishes accessible to all types of cooks, be it the beginner or seasoned the Kitchenomics team has ensured that there will be something for everyone. The focus of the show will be on easy and affordable recipes making sure that the meals you try are budget friendly and nutritious without compromising the taste. Del Monte believes that healthy cooking should start at home.
The marked difference from other cooking shows are that the recipes can actually be created. Whereas some shows have ingredients that are not readily accessible, Del Monte makes sure to give ingredients that you can easily buy at your local market. Having been around for 30 years, Del Monte has prided itself in the Filipino taste and sharing recipes for Filipino families and their pallet. They’re also reviving the tradition of home cooked meals which I have to admit will always be the best. We may crave for different cusines but we’ll always keep coming back to Filipino dishes.
You might be familiar with Kapuso leding lady Carla Abellana from films such as the Shake Rattle and Roll series and the TV show Rosalinda.
I got a chance to ask Carla a question which was “Why did you choose to work on a project such as Del Monte Kitchenomics?” She answered by saying that she found it to be a learning experience. She also wanted to learn tips and tricks that she could apply to her own cooking. Carla also enjoys and has fun working with Chef Jackie and the Kitchenomics team.
Chef Jackie Ang Po is a graduate of California Culinary Academy and worked in San Francisco before setting up her dessert café Fleur De Lys a 14-year-old café and pastry shop in Tomas Morato in Quezon City. In 2013 Jackie won a gold medal for the savory and sweet category at the Hong Kong International Culinary Challenge. She also won a bronze medal at the Singapore Food and Hotel Asia for a plated dessert category in 2014.
Aside from the Del Monte Kitchenomics show they also have tips on the Del Monte website and Facebook page. You’ll be able to get your kitchen solutions through these avenues making it a one stop shop for all your culinary needs.
We got a sneak peek at an upcoming episode where they featured a Japanese Curry recipe. In their second season they have more in store for viewers by not only featuring recipes but they’ll also be giving suggestions on how to set up the kitchen for newbies to cooking. For the healthy foodies they’ll be featuring healthier alternatives to normal dishes
The 2nd season of Del Monte Kitchenomics will be on Saturdays at 11:25am and on Sundays at 12:05pm on GMA-7.

Kitchenomics has been a great help to moms like me! 🙂 thanks for the info 🙂
i’m excited for this! i’m a fan of Del Monte Kitchenomics during my elementary days because my mom used to watch it too.
This is exciting news! Haha was a fan of Del Monte Kitchenomics even as a kid. I remember collecting all their recipes. They really make it easy for anyone to learn how to cook.
I grew up watching Del Monte Kitchenomics on saturday mornings. I’m happy it’s coming back!
I remember watching this before going to preschool… My mom usually cooks from the recipes here before she had her own “signature” style of cooking 🙂 Nice to see it’s back and now I know ako naman ang makikinabang hehehehe
I grew up with my yaya watching the TV segments of Kitchenomics, it’s no wonder that I now love to cook for my family. Agree with you that what makes Kitchenomics so relevant is it features ingredients that are locally sourced and available. It’s so easy to replicate the dishes at home because of it.
My mom always love preparing foods and she actually got lots of del monte kitchenomics recipe copies. She kept her copies in her old notebook. Imagine most of her kitchenomics recipes are more than ten years old na, hahaha. 🙂
Excited to try the Japanese curry recipe. My daughter loves Japanese curry 🙂
Oh I know Jackie from my younger days. I wonder if she remembers me lol. It’s been such a long time.
I love watching cooking shows, but I admit I love them even more if they feature easily accessible ingredients!
I’m looking forward to catching the new season of Del Monte Kitchenomics. They make cooking look so easy and doable.
Like Carla A, I also want to learn tips and trick I can use. Excited for this!!! 🙂
I didn’t know that Carla cooks!

Oh, I missed the show! But anyway, I actually downloaded a Del Monte app on my phone before as I wanted to “learn” easy and quick recipes. Unfortunately, haven’t tried any yet. Haha This served as a great reminder for me. Thanks!
I love cooking shows and I love Del Monte products. I’m glad that Del Monte Kitchenomics is now on their 2nd season.
