How do you like to spend your weekend? As much as possible I spend it with my family and most weekends I stay away from my home work space to make sure that I’m not unnecessarily working. We also like to go out when we can and this weekend we had a blast at Jollibee E. Rodriguez as we rocked the early morning with none other than Bamboo! We joined in on the fun with the re-launch of Jollibee I Love You Sabado which simultaneously launched in six flagship Jollibee stores nationwide on July 4 at 8 am.
The “I Love You, Sabado” jingle was first launched in 1987 and it has been rewritten and given a fresh arrangement. The ‘I Love You, Sabado!’ campaign inspires families to make the most of their weekends by spending quality time with one another.
Despite the rains, the moment Bamboo arrived people including hubby and me were thrilled to see him and even more thrilled when he performed. He’s one of our favorites and because he’s a favorite our children also know and appreciate his music.
The Jollibee E. Rodriguez branch was overflowing with media and customers for the re-launch of the beloved campaign. “Jollibee is going all-out on this campaign in line with our goal of engaging even more Filipino families across the country. We will make this a yearly advocacy by enjoining the whole nation to celebrate every first weekend of July thereafter as a National Family Bonding Weekend. Then and now, this is what our brand proudly stands for,” said Jollibee vice president for Marketing Harvey Ong.
Bamboo performed his hits, including a couple of our favorites. After which we got to take pictures with him. The kids were able to get a shot in with him and Kianna was thrilled because she got to take a selfie with Bamboo.
The I Love You Sabado is intended to encourage and inspire families to spend their weekends together at where else, Jollibee! We personally do just that especially since there’s a Jollibee just a stone’s throw away from our place.

Wow, they’re re-inventing the I love you Sabado jingle! I’ve always loved that. Quintessentially Jollibee.
As a supporter of “attachment parenting” advocacy.. I salute Jollibee for coming up with this kind of campaign. It will surely make an impact to many Filipino families. 🙂
I love that song … and of course, we love Jollibee 🙂
Its always fun and to spend weekends with family after a busy week at work. I remember way back childhood days lagi kaming dadalhin ni Daddy sa Jollibee, then ngayon Jollibee is one of my kids fave destinations din.
I just watched the new #ILoveYouSabado commercial of Jollibee. The fat boy was so cute! He’s just like me when I was a kid.
I was a 90s kid and I loved the commercials about “Sabado” back then. There was also “Sabado nights” with a rock n roll jingle.
I’ve always been excited about Sabado coz that’s the day when I spend most time with my family. 🙂
Good to see that your family got to enjoy as well the return of I Love You Sabado. My family was in SM City Lipa for a similar event.
Yay, Bamboo! Jollibee is definitely a name every kid knows. I love you, Sabado is a fun song.
Na LSS ako sa I Love You Sabado jingle lol
