Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I haven’t outgrown the desire to celebrate, to have the kids dress up and of course to trick or treat. It was another fantastic opportunity to help with Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween event. I was more than up for the task. It doesn’t seem like work when you’re doing something you love to do. I used to be an Events and Communications Officer and I guess I haven’t lost the drive for that especially when it comes to personal passions.
It started with an idea and Lani’s drive to make it happen. We had only about a month and a half to work on it and we are so thankful to those who supported this first MBP endeavor. Our venue sponsor, Fun Ranch was the perfect place for the event. Aside from the spacious room (The Big Red Barn, Great Big Room) that they provided we were also provided packed meals, popcorn and Ride All You Can Tickets.
The committee was truly a blessing as mommies gave their time and effort to make the event the success that it is. Hats off to Joy Gurtiza, Jho Tacorda, Marie San Luis, Pier Ang Sen, Lally Gonzales, Nicole Cuerdo withe additional help of Mel Medrano.
I asked my eldest, Bastian to help out during registration and he was the one distributing the Krispy Kreme donuts. I’m thankful that my kids gave their all out support. They’re pretty used to me asking for a bit of help whenever I participate in an event.
The program started off with Pier who did the honor of giving a beautiful prayer for Mommy Bloggers Philippines, the families who were very supportive and the generous sponsors.
Stage decoration was done by none other than Thereyoujho.
Lani gave a short speech of thanks. As you can see it was overflowing with giveaways that we had to place the goodies from Fly Ace Corporation on stage.
The beautiful and ever gracious host, Marie who was able to go with the changing flow of the program whilst entertaining the families and kids.
There were three performances from the children of mommy bloggers, Lani Lluch, Michelle Namilit, and Louisa Mercado. We hope that next time around we’ll be seeing more performances from other kids of the MBP group.
Mariel singing a song from the movie Tangled.
Ashley doing a modeling and singing presentation.
Kianna dancing to a Girls Generation song.
There was a mini costume parade at the beginning of the program where the kids gleefully displayed their creative costumes and chatted up with Marie.
Jael is wearing a Batman costume that used to belong to his Kuya Bastian!
The winners of the Costume contest and the three performers each got a Furby Boom toy for their efforts. Thanks to Toy Kingdom!

Fly Ace has 5 food lines, Jolly Food, Jolly Cow, Good Life, Al Dente and Jolly Oils. Chef Mitchie did a short cooking demo with the use of these products and the help of one of the kids.
There was also a fun dance from the Jolly Cow Fresh Milk mascot that got the crowd dancing as well.
Maya Kitchen had a pancake decorating activity that was a big success as kids of various ages experimented with different designs and colors.
Our sponsors were so generous that we were literally overflowing with goodies and prizes. We weren’t able to raffle off all the prizes so expect to have more raffle contests through the MBP group until the end of the year.
A huge thanks to our sponsors who not only supported the event but gave the mommy bloggers a chance to try new products and services!
