UNIQLO U 2022 FALL/WINTER COLLECTION LAUNCHING SEPTEMBER 23

Uniqlo U 2022 Fall/Winter began with the idea of a capsule wardrobe that could fit into a single suitcase, adaptable enough to take you through an entire season with essentials that pay special attention to functionality and versatility.

A New Genderless Offering

The men’s and women’s design teams worked together to create a concise collection of genderless essentials such as the practical pocketable long coat and workwear-inspired utility short blouson jacket, varied in size but not design, that reflect a modern approach to dressing. Boxy silhouettes and roomy proportions are suited to many body types and layer effortlessly with both the men’s and women’s garments.

Essentials for our Lifestyles

The women’s collection features carefully considered essentials that provide practicality, comfort, and versatility in our daily lives. Utilitarian, layered silhouettes are both beautiful and functional: coats made for commuting, soft wool knits, menswear-inspired shirts, classic high-waisted jeans with a modern, rounded leg. The men’s lineup is a thoughtfully curated, versatile collection of pieces designed for city life and outdoor pursuits. Generous, boxy layers made of soft wool, flannel and cotton jersey bring a sense of warmth and comfort. The perfect chino pants modernize the classic workwear style with a wide, tapered leg.

A range of sophisticated new colors – bright ochre yellow, purple, washed red and warm white – complement rich neutrals, grounded in nature.

UNIQLO / INES DE LA FRESSANGE 2022 Fall/Winter Collection

The ‘Ines-style uniform’
Ines returns to the idea of the uniform, or an eternal standard in fashion and one of her essential styles. Finished in fluffy and soft materials while making the most of the essence of men’s fashion and work details, this is a collection to provide comfort for everyone and accentuate their individuality. Along with classic items such as pea coats and chino pants, the lineup features numerous offerings incorporating modern designs, including functional items such as shirts with elbow patches, and padded shirt jackets in flannel with cotton lining.

Playful knits perfect for an urban stroll

Knits are an essential part of the Ines wardrobe, and this season features a richly varied lineup. The wide-ranging wardrobe includes sweaters with color combinations that convey a graphical impression, along with 3D knit* cardigans with a lovely, rounded silhouette, as well as lightweight and comfortable knit jackets with a soft and fluffy silhouette. Cashmere sweaters, which are a favorite of Ines, are offered in exciting, vivid colors such as mustard yellow and pink, perfect for enjoying a relaxing stroll through the city.

HANA TAJIMA FOR UNIQLO 2022 Fall/Winter Dress Collection Launching on September 2

Commenting on the latest collection, Hana Tajima said, “Styling an outfit begins by asking yourself how you want to feel. Who will I become by wearing this dress? Each dress has its own look. It expresses a part of our personality and individuality, allowing us to become the person we want to be.”

A Graceful Expression – Subtle elegance for every day

Dresses with elegant and refined designs that bring out the beauty and individuality of each wearer create a unique look and add a soft radiance to everyday life. The collection utilizing three types of material – soft and draping rayon and lyocell, deeply lustrous satin, and warm flannel – features innovative details and designs such as cuts that accentuate beauty, and delicate pleat accents. The dresses exuding a graceful expression add a richness to everyday life. Simply by casually putting on these stylish and lightweight dresses that convey dignified beauty, the wearer is instantly brought closer to the person they want to be.

UT ARCHIVE PROJECT TO CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The 18 designs selected for the collection from the UT archives showcase the solid foundations of this LifeWear in art, music, motion pictures, animated films, and other aspects of global pop culture. Designs include a 2003 UT with graphic art from Jean-Michel Basquiat and a piece with art from Andy Warhol, whose work has featured extensively in the UT lineup over the years. There are also a 2006 Black Jack UT with art from Osamu Tezuka and a 2009 UT commemorating the immensely popular Street Fighter video game series.

The UT Archive Site will take consumers on a journey to encounter new aspects of culture and find and their favorite items. This digital library represents UNIQLO’s commitment to adding color to daily living through the medium of the T-shirt. It will contain numerous masterpieces from over the years, covering art, characters, and corporate and brand collaborations from across the globe.
