The year 2020 has been hard on all of us. Despite being unable to enjoy summer by owning the streets with our vibrant-colored floral blouses and dress as we’d always wanted to, we still have a glimmer of hope that things will get better real soon, don’t we? In that case, we have to step up our fashion game and get our closet ready for fall. Here we’ll discuss some fashion basics to help you transition from warmer weather to fall in the best way possible.

1. Introduce darker colors and seasonal colors

Darker colors keep you warm and definitely strikes that fall fashion statement. Likewise, nature offers some beautiful color palettes during fall; observe and choose some seasonal colors and blend in. Fall represents warm turning into cold and demands contrast. Mixing and matching patterns and colors to create some contrast result in some interesting fall looks. Pampering your nails and switching to neutral beige or shimmery metallic colored manicure from vibrant summer colors can really add up the spice.

2. Layer, layer, and layer

Layering is really a lifesaver in terms of fall fashion. The fall season can be quite tricky. During some cold mornings, we might get tricked into dressing quite heavy and will have to sweat untl we’re worn out at daytime. On the other hand, not so chilly mornings might trick us into shivering the whole day.

So, what do we do? We layer! Layer smartly such that we can always customize throughout the day. You can layer and play around with your casual outfits and plus-size casual outfits, for all plus-sized ladies out there, to create very fun and captivating looks. Layer your shirts or throw in some cardigans or other outerwear and you’re all set to go.

3. Utilize your summer clothes and modify

Do we have to dedicate an entire section of our closet for fall and invite an unwanted financial burden to our life? No, we don’t. Your fashion game is never measured by the number of outfits you have in the closet or the number of closets you own.

You can always give fall vibes to your summer dresses and skirts by pairing them with dark/black opaque leggings and boots. Adding matching outerwear to your tank tops, including soft light-weight scarfs will also make your day. Likewise, we can always add a pancho to get that optimum warmth and vibe that fall weather requires.
