Canada remains a popular destination for people from all over the world. Drawn to the safe and economically sound environment, many look to Canada as a solid option for career advancement and a great place to raise a family. While there may be some downsides, a majority will agree that the advantages of living in Canada far outweigh the disadvantages.

Halton may not be as popular as other cities in Canada, but don’t let that fool you. Halton is a smaller but beautiful upcoming tourist destination that is worth a visit. Halton real estate market is rising and expected to continue to increase throughout 2020. You will be surprised by some of the unique restaurants you need to visit in Halton: Quite Simply French, The Red Door Cafe & bistro, The Butcher and Tonic, The Potato Tram and Miaitalia – just to name a few.
There are currently over 250 craft breweries making all kinds of beer in the Halton region. While lagers and IPAs are still the most commonly found beer styles, you’ll also find industrious brewers creating complex stouts, sours and gruits across the province. Along with some of the worlds best tasting water, you’ll find a quickly growing hops industry, a couple malt companies and an award yeast lab in Ontario. That means that now, more than ever, much of what you’ll find in your pint glass is grown and harvested right here.
Of the abundance of wineries across the province, there are a few that you should definitely pay a visit to outside the region. Here are a few wineries to visit outside Halton. Konzelmann Estate Winery, Pelee Island Winery, Three Dog Winery, Featherstone Estate Winery and Huff Estates Winery. Wine tours are educational experiences. Besides tasting wine, you’ll tour the vineyards and walk the rows of the season’s harvests. Depending on the time of year, you may even be invited to pluck a few grapes and sample them straight from the vine. After returning from the vineyard, you’ll head inside to visit the production area of the winery. Tours culminate in wine tasting.
