Getting fit goes hand in hand with a good diet and exercise. Truly you can’t get to a fitter you without the other. In my experience so far, I have proven it to be true that a healthy diet is 70% of the work while exercise is 30%. I’ve become more and more interested in doing more and more exercises and have been focusing on pilates, yoga and some dance and cardio. Diet wise, I’ve lessened my portions, opted for healthier food and snacks during the week but give myself the weekend to enjoy my favorites.

I suppose I’m not what you would call an all out health nut or exercise freak since I still enjoy plenty of foods that are supposed to be “persona non grata” if you will. At my current age, I’m focused on having more energy and keeping healthy so I can keep up with my long working hours and infinite lack of sleep.

Suffice it to say, any time I get opportunities to join fitness classes or attend health and wellness events, I’m there! Such is the case when I recently attended a yoga class/ meal prep talk at YogaHivePH c/o my favorite delivery service, honestbee!

We started the day with a 30-minute yoga class by Instructor Niki Torres. Luckily, I’d been doing yoga for some time so I could easily keep up with the class. It was the first time for me to work out with my friends, Kath of kathrivera.com and Kaycee of kikaysikat.com!

I chose the yoga class over the meal prep so I didn’t get to learn the specifics of how to do meal prepping. The talk was given by Marga Banaga, who lost 30lbs in 100 days! She has a YouTube channel where she chronicles her journey and how she made it an active and healthy lifestyle choice.

I’ve relied on honestbee many times especially during the holidays when I didn’t want to risk the heavy crowds and long lines. They’ve made it so that it’s so easy to order all the groceries I could need right from my phone in the comfort of my own home. I usually patronize Robinsons Supermarket and S&R.

Now, aside from everyday necessities, you can head on over to their Organic, Fresh, and Healthy category to order recommended healthy food. They have a wide selection of healthy products for you to choose from (depending on your area) so that you can stick to that healthy diet.

They’ve also included diet meals for those that need a week’s worth of healthy meals delivered to them. So far Muscle Kitchen Manila, Fit Fuel, and Ketos of Manila are on the honestbee app servicing BGC, Makati and Ortigas for a delivery fee of Php350.

There’s also Thirsty Turtle for refreshing drinks with ingredients such as aloe vera, tapicoa, nata de coco and coconut cream.

I also share more product samples that you can order through honestbee below.

Some of the expected products you can order. Anything in particular you’re already eating or drinking? I’ve only tried the Islands Juice so far.

My last delivery included fruits because I was inspired to go on a fruit kick. I’ve also been craving for avocados for some reason! The fruits were freshly delivered and I like that the chosen fruits are ones I would have chosen myself had I done the shopping.
