Churros – a Latin American snack consisting of a strip of fried dough, very similar to funnel cake usually dipped in chocolate. Sounds heavenly right? I’ve tried quite a bit of churros from various snack stands and restaurants. When I learned about La Lola Churreria I definitely had to try it.

By chance, Bastian and I were at SM North Edsa for a Chinese New Year event by the Chan Lim Brothers and I spotted this at the lower ground level at the Block. As you can see there’s a bit of a line. When we were at UP Town Center the line there was even longer so I had to pass up the chance then.

I always go with the basic when first trying food so I went with their Classicos (6 churros) with Chocolate Dip at Php170 total.

Honestly, it’s a bit more crumbly than I had imagined but I felt it was cooked just right. Not too oily. The dip was excellent and perfectly paired. For one person this is definitely enough. You can even share this if you’re not a strong eater.

Next on the list: Churros Ice Cream Sandwiches!
