I first heard about ASCOF Lagundi, an herbal medicine approved by the FDA from my mom. She highly recommends it as she has had a few coughing bouts and was always quickly relieved and cured by ASCOF.

After my mom’s recommendation I started taking their cough medicine and I found that it did quickly cure us of our cough. Nowadays, moms like me are very proactive in considering organic or herbal medicines for their children. Joining the natural elements of ASCOF and the natural instincts of a mom’s love and nurturing we are Naturalista Moms who only want the safest remedy for our children.

ASCOF Naturalista Mom

Natural remedies have always been recommended and now that the lagundi leaf has scientifically been proven to cure a cough without side effects it’s the natural way to go. It’s also recommended by most doctors only further proving its effectiveness and worth.

Since ASCOF is made from lagundi leaves they’re free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides. This guarantees no side effects and there’s no risk of an overdose. It comes in syrup form for kids and young adults and tablet and capsule form for adults.

A product of Pascual Laboratories, it can put an end to mild to moderate coughs by dissolving the phlegm, loosening the air passage, and preventing allergic reactions.

ASCOF is effective because of Chrysoplenol D (a smooth muscle relaxant & anti-histamine) and Luteolin & Isoorientin (anti-histamines).  Initial relief can be experienced as early as after 30 minutes from drinking and complete relief within 1-2 days. Having worked in a call center and having frequent coughing episodes this is a rather quick timeline for relief. I would be prescribed different cough medicines and relief would only come after 2 weeks.

To further learn about ASCOF Lagundi and its benefits Kianna and I attended an event courtesy of ASCOF Lagundi and Nuffnang Philippines. We were very excited for a day that promised green activities, food from Earth Kitchen and an appearance by Carmina Villaroel Legaspi to discuss being a Naturalista Mom and we were not disappointed.

We started by going around to the different areas displaying activities. The first was the Upcycle where they handed out kits that gave you used materials that you could use to make bracelets. We got tips to use such as saving unopened toothpicks from restaurants to use in arts and crafts projects.

Here’s the bracelet that Kianna made from the kit.

We then went to the Build Your Own Garden station where they were giving away plants such as Tarragon, Oregano and Basil. These plants are easy to maintain and only require minimal watering.

There was a Create Your Own Salad Bar serving various greens and organic salad dressings (Muscovada, Sesame and Balsamic).

The event was held at Earth Kitchen which had a calm and soothing vibe and music to go along with it. Their decor even speaks to the healthy, local and sustainable idea that they promote through their food and products.

We were served delicious food such as Spring Rolls, Organic Ifugao Rice Pillaf, and Risotto Balls to name a few.

The afternoon brought plenty of fun with a talk about the origins, benefits, and signs of an oncoming cough. We were entertained with a dance they taught us that showed how a cough progresses.

We also got to meet Naturalista mom Carmina Villaroel Legaspi and her two beautiful children, Cassy and Mavy. The forum was open for discussion and questions and they even entertained personal questions.
