The hubby and I have been planning to go to Tagaytay for the longest time. When I finally got the opportunity it was sans the husband but I couldn’t pass up on a special day courtesy of Celebrity Mom and Nurture Wellness Village for Mommy Maricel Laxa-Pangilinana’s birthday celebration!
I was due for a much needed day of relaxation and to spend it with my fellow Mommy Bloggers Philippines mommies was icing on the cake!
We left very early to go to the meet up point before heading to Tagaytay. Upon arriving we were offered drinks and we took the opportunity to take pictures together, of the wellness village and all the cute decorations.
It was such an honor to be invited to join Mommy Maricel for the day with her friends and learn more about how we can effectively and consciously apply wellness into our everyday lives.

Mommy Maricel arrived with her family and we were thrilled when she approached us and got to know our group of mommy bloggers.
She is breathtaking and truly a breath of fresh air with her kindness and sincere interest in what we do. As she’s a blogger herself she could definitely relate and even asked us for her opinion on her blog.

The festivities started with an introduction by Mommy Maricel who along with welcoming us also thanked the kind owners of Nurture Wellness Village and the staff that were assisting us.
Her husband, Mr Anthony Pangilinan gave a short talk on work life balance and how to handle stress. We did some practical exercises which helped us to fully realize where we were lacking and what we needed to improve when it came to our wellness.
Co-owner and President of Nurture Wellness Village, Ms Catherine Brillantes-Turvill gave a talk on C.H.O.I.C.E.S which would help us to consciously embrace a healthier lifestyle and living.
The Nurture Wellness Village has it’s own organic garden with many varieties of plants that can be used for healing and eating. It’s a place of serenity and holistic treatments that will help you get back on track to a journey of wellness.
Their village offers the Filipino spa experience which I was lucky to try, Glamping which seems to be modern day camping, wellness and natural healing, a wellness tourism package which gives you their full suite of services, and of course their gorgeous yet homey accommodations which I hope to experience soon with my family.
Their services and facilities are abundant and there are many to choose from but you will find the right one for you guaranteed.
During our wellness talk we were also taught how to properly mix oils for massaging. We were taught how to massage ourselves as well as our loved ones. The self massage is one that I really enjoyed learning. Being a work at home mom in front of the computer most of the day it’s something I really need.

It was definitely a treat to get out and take a walk. We walked to their farm where they grew their organic plants. Along the way we took in the scenery with all the trees and flowers and I enjoyed the fresh air.
Nurture Wellness certainly looked after our welfare and even provided us these sombreros to stave off the heat.
Our tour guide taught us the different flowers and coffee beans as we were in the well known Arabica coffee county.
It was a delight to have experienced all the nature and scenery with Mommy Maricel. We even got to take a group picture with her.

Goldilocks provided a pretty pink cake and yummy cupcakes to go along with it. We all sang Happy Birthday but it was the lead in by the beautiful actress and singer Mariz, wife of Ronnie Ricketts that made the singing so great. I was truly in awe of her natural beauty.

Ahhh, spa time. On top of all the great things that had already happened we were treated to a Pawi massage with oils of lavender, grapeseed and ilang ilang.
I can still remember the soothing smell of oils and the royal treatment that Sol, my masseuse gave me. It was even more relaxing to be basking in the calming nature surrounding me.
After my wonderful massage treatment, I was happy to find merienda was being served. The turon and ice cream was such a winner for me that we plan on recreating it at home. Stay tuned for that!
Before we headed home we took one last tour of the village and checked out their amenities.
Look at how gorgeous this place is? The sky is so blue and the trees and plants made me feel like I was in the center of nature.
This little pond is in honor of Gabriela Silang who the owner, Ms Catherine Brillantes-Turvill is a direct descendant of.
One of the plants they have at the Wellness Village is Choco Mint. We were asked to actually try the leaves to taste the chocolate and mint. Surprisingly, it did have that minty taste with just a tiny hint of chocolate.
This day was definitely another day to note in my list of awesome days. It was a day well spent with friends and one where I took home thoughts to ponder and practical advice on how to enhance my everyday wellness.
