What is it about pasta and cake? For me at least, it signifies comfort and conversation. Mary Grace Cafe at Trinoma definitely has both and a cozy atmosphere perfect for long talks and even meetings. Whenever I get together with these two, Lanie and Joy I know I’m in for a fun day.
It was a treat to be at Mary Grace Cafe where we celebrated Joy’s new job and got down to a bit of Mommy Bloggers Philippines business. All three of us are work at home moms but we have a love for blogging so despite busy schedules we try our best to do a little at a time trying to achieve our goals for MBP.
This second half of the year will be a bit busier as we have a workshop and 2 events lined up aside from the usual invites and product reviews we’re doing and hoping to share with other moms from the group.
I’d previously dined at Mary Grace with friends and have had a try of a few of their cakes but it was a first time for me to try one of their dishes.
Classic Carbonara (Php260)
Chocolate Truffle (Php150)
Verdict: Very creamy carbonara. First look I thought I could easily finish it but was only able to get through about a little more than half the dish. I know what you must be thinking, I’m a big woman and naturally I have an appetite that goes with it but I don’t. It’s a long story!
The Chocolate Truffle cake was just right for me. It wasn’t dry and I loved the sweetness of the cake. I’ve had their Sansrival and Tiramisu and of the three I would probably come back for their Tiramisu.
