It’s play time! We celebrated the holidays with some S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) fun at Tinker House SM Fairview. Northern Moms Philippines invited 6 mommies and kids to join us as we designed, created, and learned new skills through fun crafts and science experiments.
Tinker House makes it easy and convenient for parents to provide children opportunities to hone their creativity and curiosity at their mall-based activity centers.
Jael and I are big fans of Tinker House and this was our second time here. He was super eager to attend and try more crafts and projects. Since it was the holidays the art activities were Christmas themed and all the more fun.
Activities available at Tinker House centers:
Each Tinker House offers at least 12 different types of activities at any given time and the activities are affordably-priced at Php 150.00 to Php450.00 each. The fees are inclusive of all the materials necessary for the chosen activity and there’s free access to supplies and the tools shelf.
For our activity session we did Peppermint Slime, Holiday Canvas Art and Paper Mache Ornaments. I’ve always loved arts and crafts and just like with the teens I try and introduce and encourage Jael to do it as well.
Sometimes, it’s tempting to correct your child when they’re making anything but that’s the beauty of art. It’s messy and there are no rules. Without rules creativity abounds which oftentimes helps you to make the best creation.
I love painting when I can do it and Jael and I did our best to copy the images provided and we still somehow managed to make it our own.
It was fun to be doing the crafts and experiments alongside other mommies and kids. Tinker House SM Fairview offers party packages at their branch but you can also hire them to be at your parties.
