I’ve started taking chia seeds and in the few weeks that I’ve been taking it I can already feel and see the effect. Chia seeds are meant to help you lose weight and strengthen your immune system. However, there are many more benefits that can be gleaned from taking chia seeds.

Just some of the benefits include:

  • energy and stamina
  • normalizes blood sugar
  • cleanses your colon
  • gets rid of toxins
  • reduces inflammation
  • promotes healthy sleep
  • digestion
  • joint pain

I researched on the different ways chia seeds can be taken and I found plenty of recipes from shakes to drinks, all which weren’t practical for my current set up.

I learned that the best way to take it is with room temperature and cold drinks. It’s also best to wait 30min before ingesting so that the chia seeds activate. Its texture changes and it has a jelly like quality.

I always make sure to have a bottle of water with chia seeds in my fridge but other ways I take it are as follows. I mix it in and let it activate at least 15minutes in food. The consisitency changes but you won’t even be able to tell. Also, chia seeds hardly have any flavor.
