Yes, I braved the crowds and the heat to go to the National Book Store Warehouse Sale! National Book Store is one of my havens being a bookworm ever since I could remember. I’ve been to a few of their warehouse sales (the one in Quezon Ave) but this definitely takes the cake! The discounts were just unbelievable sometimes and I’m not exaggerating. You’ll see for yourself what I got and how much I got it for.

This year’s warehouse sale was held at National Book Store in Pioneer, Mandaluyong. It was an honest to goodness warehouse so it was hot and dusty. I do commend them though for keeping it as organized as possible. From the line outside going in to the price checking to the cashiers.

This is the kind of sale though where you will get down and dirty literally. Wall to wall of boxes of books and if you wanted to find something in particular you were going to have to roll up your sleeves and squat, kneel and whatever else to get to the many many boxes filled with books. There were sections for supplies, books, and toys that made it easier though.

Honestly, I didn’t even bother with books for myself because I use my Kobo and have the collections I want so far. Though, if I had been properly dressed and not short on time I would have taken a look. I focused instead on children’s books, supplies and art activities.

Here’s a look at the sale! It was pretty hot and crowded but you’ll see for yourself why it was still worth the visit.

The payment was done in an orderly fashion. The line could get pretty long but they had plenty of cashiers.

I gave myself a spending budget of Php1000. I was ecstatic with what I got and I went just a tad bit over at Php1190.25.

Next year’s warehouse sale will see me more prepared and we’ll up the budget shall we?
