There’s much to be thankful for this year. 2017 was a bit rough on me with all the adjustments and having to accept the things that happened. In 2018 though I was given many positive experiences and chances to carry on a single life supporting my kids on my own.

This is mostly a chance for me to remember this point in my life and to appreciate what I’ve been given and by who.

Continued Work opportunities

I have been so very blessed to continually be employed and have extra opportunities to earn. My livelihood has enabled me to provide for all 3 of my kids and give them the best education I can afford them. With a son is UST and 2 kids in private school I would say that’s not bad, not bad at all.

New Experiences for the Kids

I hadn’t gone to my own prom so when Kianna had her prom at Diamond Hotel I went all out. To say that I spent is an understatement but I know that in 10, 20 and even 30 years from now her prom experience is one she’ll remember and hopefully in a good way!

For the first time one of the kids as able to join the McDonalds Kiddie Crew. I felt really bad that Bastian and Kianna weren’t able to do so when they were younger but it just wasn’t something I could afford. However, I could for Jael and being that he seeks more social experiences I made it happen.

One thing I’m thankful for and something that Bastian experienced was an automobile accident that he got out of fairly unharmed. It’s a new experience but hopefully one that doesn’t occur ever again.

Unexpected Reflection

One of my memorable experiences is an unexpected trip to Mindoro with friends. It was such a great experience that I hope happens again in 2019!

I’m blessed with so many friendships having different circles of friends and this is what makes my life full apart from my family. I cherished a special reunion with a dear friend who was home from Canada which also gave me the chance to catch up with other friends. All the blog events I attend seeing my blogger and online friends is always a great time. A yearly catch up with college friends and seeing my best friends Jenan, Joan and Rose.

I’m thankful for Netflix as shallow as that sounds (if it does?). It’s filled sad days and given me a mixture of feelings. I don’t get to go out as much as I’d like so watching movies and shows on Netflix helps fill that void.

It was such an honor to witness the union of 2 friends, Reja and Dennis at their Lakeshore Wedding. This moment truly gave me more to hope for and made my heart just a little less jaded.

It was a ton of fun and laughs with dear friends Rose and Lyds where I also took one small step towards freedom.

Financial Help

Having Bastian study at UST gives me much hope that I’m providing a better future for him. With the help of PEAC OVAP I’m able to lessen the cost. Unfortunately, they’ve stopped giving out vouchers for now but I’m hoping that I can get one for Kianna before she starts Grade 11.

When I became single again I discovered make up and clothes! Taytay Tiangge is a heaven sent place for me because I was able to buy plenty of clothing at such affordable prices.

My brother and friends have helped me in my direst of times and I’m so thankful for them.

Blog Opportunities

Without my blog, I might not have had as much experiences and opportunities.

The Welchs Relaunch was a chance for me to share about my parenting style. Sponsored posts on my blog have helped me to make ends meet. Robinsons Supermarket has been an important partner in both my blog and fitness journey. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cebuana Lhuillier and my latest raffle win has made me believe that I might just be lucky after all. One of the more exciting collaborations was with Sassa Active Wear where I finally got to have sponsored active wear.  Barbizon followed soon after. Hopefully I have more clothing collaborations in 2019.

I was finally able to transfer my blog. For a considerable time I had been having challenges and now I have better hosting, my SEO is looking up and I have an SSL certificate giving my blog more security and credibility.

Despite the short time that we had, Lani, Joy and I were able to successfully pull off this year’s MBP Christmas Party where I also featured as host. It gave me the confidence and determination to pursue it next year.

Healthier Me

My continued fitness lifestyle has been encouraged further with events such as the one I attended at Anytime Fitness, A Healthier Place.

I loved sharing my Transformation Tuesday posts. I hoped it inspired others and it also continues to inspire me. I’m looking forward to more local Pilates classes that I’ve been taking with my blogger friend Kath of www.kathrivera.com.

I indulged myself in a Swedish massage at Nuat Thai and vow to give myself more of these in the coming year.

One of the best experiences for my 2018 was my Boudoir sessions with Seriously Boudoir. I had 2 sessions and both times I came out with amazing photos. It also gave me confidence in not only my body but my also my mind.

Acceptance and Peace

I’ve learned to accept certain things about my life such as being the sole provider for my 3 kids however unfair I might think it is. That’s what my life is. What’s important for me is that I do the best that I can for my kids.

With that I achieved a certain peace. Of late, I’ve been searching for love but I’m also starting to accept that it just happens and it’s not something that I can actively look for.

I hope your 2018 was as fulfilling and happy and I hope that 2019 brings you all happiness, contentment, more adventures and opportunities.
