This year has been a blessing when it comes to my fitness journey. I lost the weight I wanted to lose with just a little left over to tone. I’m a hundred times happier with myself, my body and my spirit all because I decided to take action and get in shape. Realistically speaking I don’t have a body to die for, I’m not a perfect 10 nor am I swimsuit ready but these weren’t my goals to begin with. My goal was to lose weight so that I didn’t huff and puff going up the stairs or feel so heavy I was out of breath with just a little exertion.

What did I want?

I wanted to fit into regular sized clothing so I could enjoy fashion more.

I wanted to feel lighter.

I wanted to feel prettier.

I wanted to be healthier so my kids would have their mom around for as long as they needed her.

So, one day after feeling a bit challenged (something I shared in this post) I decided to take back my life and work out. The thing is being a single mom of three I didn’t have the luxury of joining a gym or trying expensive diet meal plans. What I did have was my determination and I made the most of it.

I tried different home workouts till I found the one that felt right for me. I found Tone It Up. My aim was to get toned and not muscled and their workouts were perfect. I also focused on my arms, abs, core, thighs and booty.

I’m sexy and confident in my own way so much so that I did a boudoir shoot! Can you believe?!

So definitely, if I can do it, you can do it! You just need to make a decision to do it and stick to it. I’ve shared how in this post.

The holidays are one of the most hardest times to say no to temptations like buffets, parties overflowing with food and sweets. The last being my Achilles Heel BUT you can indulge a little over the holidays and keep fit with this Fitness Advent Calendar I’ve created just for you.

Start replacing your sweet snacking with healthy snacking. Robinsons Supermarket has an excellent yet affordable selection with their Healthy You line.

Everyday you can do 1 workout move (12-15 repetitions, each side if needed) and you’re set for the day. You got in a little activity, a little workout to tide you over till you get back to your full on workouts or if you’re a beginner these can help ease you into a daily workout.
