One of the most painful experiences for any person is when they have a toothache. Have you ever experienced having a toothache in the middle of the night and you couldn’t do anything about it because your dentist’s office was closed and it’s not an ER kind of situation? Fortunately this can be prevented just by taking simple steps and choosing the right dental clinic for your family. I brought the kids to Affinity Dental Clinics Makati for a check up and to assess if any work was needed on their teeth.
Thankfully the P2P service makes it much easier to get to and from Makati. We just took Grab from the P2P station at Glorietta 3 to their clinic in Legaspi Village. The thing about dental clinics is the ambiance really sets the mood of a patient. So stepping into Affinity Dental my mind was put at ease because it was so obviously built with careful attention that you just know the service is just as good if not better.
The very inviting and modern furnishings and designs also assured me that the clinic would probably have advanced equipment and have dentists that keep up with the times. I’m always for progressive learning especially when it comes to health and wellness.
Their lounge is quite spacious which is great and their’s a TV to keep kids entertained while waiting. I had the teens fill out their personal records and they were feeling pretty adult.
True enough a quick tour of the clinic showed me that they are well equipped having 5 private and spacious treatment suites, an under the sea themed kiddie room, a sterile and state of the art Operating Room for surgeries and dental implants, a fully digital dental laboratory where they make their own Zirconia Crowns and Bridges, a conference room, and a VIP and recovery room.
They’re equipped with Peri-apical, Panoramic and Cephalometric X-rays and provide basic treatments to more complex procedures such as Oral Surgery, Dental Implants, Orthodontic Braces and Retainers, TMJ treatment, Cosmetic Dental Treatments, Root Canal Therapy.

Bastian, Kianna, and Jael all had their own dentist and were in 3 separate rooms which I had to go back and forth from.
TIP: Schedule a dentist appointment for your children on separate days! I thought the teens would be pretty much okay on their own but I had to check on each of them.
Bastian was giddy because he was able to request for a specific show to watch while waiting in the exam room for Dr. KC Paras. All the rooms are equipped with TVs and have Netflix.
Diagnosis: Bastian needs to have a root canal done. We’re already planning our next steps and I’ll share the procedure with you guys.
Kianna had a scheduled teeth whitening with Dr. Tina Robles and was pretty excited about that. I’ll be sharing more about this specific procedure in a separate post. You’ll be amazed with the results.
Diagnosis: Kianna’s teeth whitening result was amazing. My first thought was “That’s how stars get their teeth so white!”
Jael was having the time of his life in his exam room which was designed with an under the sea theme. There was a TV on the ceiling to provide extra comfort and distraction for kids. Jael’s pretty outspoken and conversational so he was talking up his dentist, Dr. Raia Tirona and her assistant.
I think the playfulness of the room and easy demeanor of the dentist and staff put his mind at ease because he wasn’t at all nervous.
Diagnosis: Jael has to have a couple of teeth worked on by having pastas done.
Jael underwent an x-ray and he was calm and even excited about it. Their x-rays have the latest state-of-the-art dental x-rays that provide sharp and clear images for accurate diagnosis and, most of all, minimizes the patient’s exposure to radiation compared to the traditional and conventional dental x-rays.
Kids impressions: Awesome place | good entertainment | nice doctors | detailed description of what the doctor was doing | accommodating and patient | consistently concerned with their well being (asking if it hurt or if they were comfortable)
My impression: Young doctors | very clean | very aesthetically pleasing | a bit pricey than other dental clinics but you can obviously see why | modern equipment | friendly staff

Had our visit last Monday and I just so love affinity clinic. They have the friendliest staff and dentists and even the coolest pedia room. Anyway, it surprised to know that my two teenage boys have problem free teeth. The third one needs some extra care and filling.
