Book lovers such as myself will enjoy a peek at different book collections. Today, I’m sharing my own collection for a couple of reasons. First, I need some inspiration to start reading once again. Sadly, I haven’t been reading as much as I’d like to. Second, everyone is always on their gadget (me included!) and we need to get back to appreciating the joy of reading.
I’ve been reading ever since I can remember and the joy you derive from reading has no comparison. When you’re immersed in the story lines and depictions your mind can bring you to those places. Plenty of creativity stems from reading. Kids nowadays are bombarded with digital imagery and if they do read for leisure usually it’s the instructions to a game. Everything is short and sweet.
Here’s my own collection of books. We all have our favorites and these are mine. Almost every one of these books has a background story to it but most of all the pleasure I’ve gotten from these pages have been memorable and stay that way. Don’t you find that when you read a book at a certain period in your life that it holds a different meaning when you read it again after some time?
I would love to see your collections! For now though check out some of the collections my fellow mommy bloggers shared with me!
I’m loving the youtube video – it adds a nice touch.
Can you believe that I’ve never read or even heard of any of those books? (except for Harry Potter of course) I do believe people’s bookshalves express so much about themselves but I’ve never given it much thought before. Perhaps that explains why mine are just cookbook and photography text books! 😉
Keep up the amazing work!
Currently, my book collections are divided into so many categories. There are books that fall under the academic section, self-help books, inspirational and even fiction books! It amuses me that before, I haven’t read novels or liked them in the first place. But now, I get to read novels when I’m taking break from class or it’s the term break since if there’s class, I have to read cases and assigned readings. Soon, I might take into consideration about showing my book collection on my blog.
I enjoyed reading your blog post and your video about your book collections. I am an avid reader too. I enjoyed reading since I learned how to read. Thanks to my mom who patiently taught me how to read. I also have Tuesdays with Morrie and novels written by Paulo Coelho. I still have a lot of readings to do and I feel relieve that classes will soon finally be over and I will have more time to do what I love to do.
