Robinsons Supermarket 10th Buddy Run: Fit and Fun Wellness at Camp Aguinaldo

It was another early morning at the recent Robinsons Supermarket 10th Buddy Run at Camp Aguinaldo. Aside from the fact that it was an opportunity to get some exercise it was also a chance for the kids and I to spend some time together. I got the usual grumble because it was so early but we went home happy and closer.

Robinsons Supermarket has made it its mission to inject health and wellness into our everyday lives. From grocery shopping to a FitFil Challenge and this fun run there’s every oportunity for us to get healthier.

On its 10th year the Robinsons Supermarket Buddy Run provides running pairs an opportunity to prepare for the rigorous race and win some amazing prizes.

Between being hosted by volleyball superstar and TV personality, Gretchen Ho, warm up and cool down exercises with Coaches Jim and Toni Saret, plenty of featured booths it was a jam packed event.

Nestle Philippines, Johnson & Johnson, Fonterra, Unilab and Wyeth Nutrition, Unilever, International Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (IPI), Procter & Gamble, Abbott Nutrition, Getz Bros, Ecossential, Del Monte, Foodsphere Inc., and Philusa supported the buddy run by providing free samples, games and trivia.

Attendees were also invited to join the Fit Filipino 1 Million Pounds National Weight Loss Challenge with plenty of companies and organizations pledging pounds.

It’s a happy event that many people look forward to attending. Creating a family goal of choosing to live healthier lifestyles and run together is a worthy investment.

The fun run is just one of the programs this July for Robinsons Supermarket Wellness Festival. They’re also giving away Healthy You snack platters for just a minimum purchase of Php3000 inclusive of Php500 worth of participating items from the Wellness Festival.

“Through the years, the Fit & Fun Buddy Run has been a much anticipated event for a lot of people. It’s our kick-off as we celebrate with the nation, Wellness and Nutrition month. It provides a fun gateway activity for fitness newbies who are just about to start their wellness journey and loyal runners,” said general manager of Robinsons Supermarket, Mr Jody Gadia.
