There was much to be thankful for in 2016. For me a year has been good if my kids are healthy, doing well in school and I’m working. That’s why I think my 2016 has been a year of thankfulness and was more good than bad because there were so many opportunities and experiences.
Though my year was great there was a sourness to it. For the first time I’m officially confirming then end of my marriage. Yes, 17 years done and gone. That’s the one downer however I choose not to dwell on that because to be honest I think it was one of the best decisions I made. Having married so young it’s the first time I’m getting to actually live my own life without having to think “What will he think?” “Will he get angry?” and the like. I’m happy they are doing well and we’re all supporting one another.
Looking back on 2016 there were many firsts and many of those opportunities were from my blogging! Sharing my year of firsts, happiness, acceptance, sadness and positivity.

At the end of the year, what is really important is how much we are thankful for all the blessings and gifts that we have received and how much more we are willing to give out to others in need or for kindness.
