Ariel, one of the leading detergents in the country honored 100 Fearless Filipinas and I was honored to be chosen to be one of them.
The Wash Your Fears Summit proves that every wash can lead to a worry-free laundry experience, allowing moms like me to have more time for myself and my loved ones. Honestly, laundry has always been the bane of my existence. Between work, the kids and household chores like laundry it can get to be much. Luckily, brands like Ariel continuously seek solutions for us to make our lives easier in even the smallest of ways.
Upon entering The Shooting Gallery, where the Wash Your Fears Summit was held, you could see 100 stained shirts that Ariel would wash away in 1 wash. What a challenge! Looking up I could see all kinds of stains, particularly I was on the look out for grease/oil stains, permanent marker stains and food stains because those are always the toughest to get out.
There’s always a possibility for a new beginning and like Ariel, we have the ability to wash away those fears and the capacity to overcome them. Ariel has proven true to it’s claim to be able to wash away 100 stains in 1 wash. Incredibly enough we witnessed this feat.
We were given plain white shirts to write our fears on. As you can tell, I have quite a few. It was a very intimate thing for me to do especially since I don’t openly share my fears because I’d rather look on the positive rather than the negative.
These fears sometimes keep me up at night. I’ve learned that I just have to take a deep breath and take it a step and day at a time.
After writing our fears, we placed our shirts in a big bin that would comprise the 100 stained shirts that would be washed away.
Ariel’s brand ambassador, Kris Aquino graced the event along with other notable Fearless Filipinas (L-R)- Ms. Amina Rasul, Ms. Mons Romulo, Ms Samira Gutoc-Tomawis, Host Bianca Gnazales, Ms Kris Aquino, Ms. Miriam Quiambao, Ms Anna Kapunan, Ms Mandy Dela Rama, and Ms Marilou Chua.
Just as I had written my fears on my shirt, so did these beautiful women. It was refreshing to hear how successful women also have the same fears and hesitations that I do. Yet, despite the trials and challenges they were able to strive and succeed to be the Fearless Filipinas that they are. It’s an inspiring thought!
Each of these women have made significant contributions: Ms. Amina Rasul (fearless advocate for peace and development), Ms. Mons Romulo (fearless lifestyle columnist), Ms Samira Gutoc-Tomawis (fearless journalist), Host Bianca Gnazales, Ms Kris Aquino, Ms. Miriam Quiambao (fearless beauty queen), Ms Anna Kapunan (fearless advocate for health and environment), Ms Mandy Dela Rama (fearless entrepreneur), and Ms Marilou Chua (fearless beauty queen and advocate for children’s education).
I think we all want to make our mark and though it might not be in the limelight I think we do with the people around us and those we love.
Jonalyn Viray sang a couple of songs which were positive and empowering. For such a small women her talent is power packed!
Kris Aquino shared her fears and we also got a chance to ask her some questions. I was very curious about who the fearless women she looked up to were. She answered with Hilary Clinton, Leni Robredo, and of course her mom, Corey Aquino.
Sometimes, no matter how focused we are on our goals, there will be unexpected situations and stains that will challenge our abilities. But being a Filipina and a mother, I learned to use the last ounce of strength to stand up and face my fears,” Kris said.
How exactly did Ariel complete this feat? With the use of Ariel Power Gel and a new optimized formulation and higher level of active ingredients those stains were washed away.
There are 4 different surfactants in the new Power Gel. They can target specific hard to remove stain substances such as grease, mud, and food and beverage stains. Contrary to popular belief liquid detergent is not more expensive as it is more effective in cleaning out those stains. This means less detergent per wash.
For a load of 15-20 pieces of clothing you will use about half a cap or 45ml of the Power Gel versus 1.5-2 scoops of powder.
Ariel Power Gel comes in two variants: Sunrise Fresh and Freshness of Downy Passion.
So just remember, as we wash our clothes, we have the ability to wash away those worries, fears and hesitations.
Retail price: Sachet (45ml)- Php8.75, Pouch Freshness of Downy (360ml)- Php75.00, Pouch Sunrise Fresh (400ml)- Php75.00, Bottle Freshness of Downy (900ml)- Php175.00, Bottle Sunrise Fresh (1000ml)- Php175. Ariel Power gel is available in most supermarkets nationwide.

What an interesting way to demonstrate the product! I love the idea of writing yours fears on and then seeing them just wash away – really brilliant idea.
Ariel is undeniably a good laundry detergent (also I use and buy the huge pack, which saves me a lot). The interesting question is, does Kris Aquino really laundry her clothes, or just ask her nanny to do it and inspect how she does it?
I’ve been using Ariel for years, now I’m currently using the power gel. Nagkaubusan nga sa S&R niyan so I will check other supermarkets at baka may stocks sila.
we’ve been ariel users as well. and if there is a stain that you really need to get out, expect ariel to do its magic. very econimical too, since you don’t need a lot when doing the laundry.
nice to meet you by the way! 🙂
Ariel user here! ♥ And yes, very reliable si Ariel. It’s one of the powerhouse detergents on stains.
Love the wash your fears tagline. It’s very catchy. The event was smartly done. 🙂
I don’t often buy white clothes especially for kids but with this kind of detergent, I might think twice.:)
Ive been using ariel when i soak the whites before washing especially those that were stained… its matapang sa puti talaga!
We use Ariel in our laundry simply because it makes our clothes clean. And it doesn’t hurt that sometimes Ariel is on 50% off promo.
First time to try Ariel Power Gel was when I received samples from Everydayme. I loved it though I kind of find it a bit pricey for my budget. Good thing that there was a time when a bottle went on sale for like 50% off so I was able to get a few bottles, good for about 3-4 months probably. If it goes on sale again and budget permits, I would definitely hoard more of this. 🙂
I honestly love this brand. I started using Ariel Liquid Gel 2 months ago sa clothes ni LO kasi palaging may mantsa. I just soak it for an hour and voila! Natatanggal ang stains talaga.
What a cool event, putting value and meaning to an ordinary house . We use Ariel too. I love the one with downy.
I love Ariel too. Especially their pink liquid detergent. I forgot what it’s called. I scored a buy one take one deal from a grocery store and I came back for more! No need to use Downy on our clothes.
What an interesting event! We use Ariel detergent bar and powder at home, too, because we love its cleaning power and the nice scent it leaves on our clothes.
I remember before I used whatever is available in the laundry area or any brands easy to grab at the store. But when I gave birth to my son, I stick with Ariel. I’m confident with how clean my son’s clothing with Ariel kasi. Especially the one with Downy, super bango.
Looks like such a fun event! Too bad I missed it. I had to decline because I’m still recuperating from giving birth. It must have been really inspiring to be among all the fearless Filipinas.
The event looks fun with empowered Filipinas. Nag-hoard ako noon ng Ariel nung nag 50% off sila Mommy Louisa, angganda nya especially sa white fabrics.
Wasn’t able to get my hand on any when they were 50% off 🙁 Still hoping though! 🙂
This event was all over my timeline. And I love the idea of women empowerment.
This is so inspiring. Imagine a successful woman like Kris Aquino having fears! She’s just human after all 🙂
I love the campaign concepts the team behind Ariel comes up with! I love how they’re encouraging each Filipina to do what she wants to do and convert fears into challenges.
super cool idea! ‘maganda tong gawin pag emo moments nating mga nanay! let ariel wash our fears away! nice!
The idea of writing down your fears then washing them away — ang galing lang. Such a big event, tapos nandun pa si Kris A. Wow.
If I use the variants with Downy does it mean I can actually skip using Downy?
It uses Downy parfum which gives a long-lasting perfume freshness so I’m assuming yes. I haven’t tried that one yet.
We are using Ariel also and we took the advantage nung nag 50 off cla as in nag hoarding
We believe in the power of Ariel and I love the idea of women empowerment too. I just hope brands would organize events like this as they really inspire and at the end of the day, you will really go home empowered.
For me, you are one of the most fearless moms in the world, and I adore you for that!
Awww, I feel the same way about you, Lani! 🙂
Oh, too bad I missed this event. It’s nice to read about it here though. I think I have the same fears as you have. It’s so great to hear about innovations in Ariel that will surely be helful for us moms.
That event is really something! I’m glad I was a part of it too! Ariel really proved that it can remove 100 stains in 1 wash and at the same time empowered filipinas nationwide.
Believe it or not, doing the laundry is my favorite household task. Except when so much pressed for time that it becomes stressful, I find washing clothes very therapeutic, just like what you described as washing away fears together with those stains. I am actually ecstatic just looking at the laundry basket empty for about 5 seconds.
I love Ariel. Super happy ako sa Ariel Power Gel. The thing is, medyo pricey lang talaga from other brands.
