Kianna was telling me about an ice cream place that served it in a unique way. Being a 100% ice cream lover I had to check it out. We dropped by SM Novaliches for some errands and checked out AJ & AC Fried Ice Cream located in the activity center.
The thing I like about this place is that they serve really affordable fried ice cream. Now, you’d think the ice cream would be more ice than cream but surprisingly it’s an even mix of both.
What you do is choose your flavored base, vanilla, choco, cheese, mocha, ube, or buko pandan. I chose chocolate (of course!) and Kianna chose buko pandan.
The base is spread out on a fryer and then rolled into curls.
After which, the curls are put in a cup and you choose your toppings. Toppings are an additional.
Simple treat to enjoy while at the mall!

I think this originated in Thailand if I’m not wrong. Good thing it found its way here in the Philippines. Anyway, what matters more than its uniqueness or its novelty is the taste. How was it? And how much does on order cost? Thanks for sharing about this 🙂
It was good! I haven’t been there for awhile. Last I was there it was Php40 with 2 kinds of toppings.
I guess it was ten years ago when I first heard the fried ice cream. It was a hit that time. I tried several flavours but cheese and chocolate will always be my top picks. The toppings of AJ & AC look so inviting and overwhelming. I want go grab some now!
That looks really yummy. For a price of Php 40 with 2 kinds of toppings, it’s not really bad at all. I think it’s very affordable. I’m just curious why it’s called Fried Ice Cream. Did they really fry something?
Hi Dominic, the ice cream was placed on a flat fryer and mixed then flattened again. 🙂
If only SM is Novaloches is near. L would definitely try this Ice cream. Loaded with toppings! Looks sooo awesome :
I heard about fried Mars bars , and grilled marsh mellows , but fried ice is new to me. It looks very interesting , I really would love to try that . But , what’s that green ice cream like ? What flavour is that ?
Hi Klaudia, the green ice cream is buko pandan. 🙂
Looks delicious! I love ice cream as well! I wanna know though why is it called Fried ice cream? And how was the price for the ice cream? I hope they can have a branch here in the north. 🙂
Hi Charm, the ice cream is placed in a flat fryer and they mix it a bit and then flatten it out on the fryer. I thought the price was pretty good. 🙂
Wait, what? Haha! I wonder how it tastes like. When you said fried ice cream, what I had in mind was ice cream inside a fried cover/wrapper but this seems so much intriguing.
Haven’t tried this yet but it looks tasty! the sprinkles and mallows on top is so inviting specially for the kids. Will bring my cousin here so that she’ll be amaze of fried ice cream
Ahhhhh! drooling @.@ ! So yummmeh. I love how creative people are in terms of opening businesses. Daming pakulo! I just do hope they’ll open a branch somewhere near in my place, Cavite! haha
I have never tried any AJ and AC ice cream before but I have tried one from another brand. I don’t really find anything special but I love watching how it’s made and rolled. Haha!
