Why is it that when our hair is luscious and lustrous that we feel more confident and prettier? Ever since I’ve had my hair done at Nouvelle Salon, there’s been an extra bounce in my step and I feel much better about myself.
I’ve been having my hair done since I was 14 and have tried many treatments and salons. It’s only with Nouvelle Salon though that I came out of the salon with absolutely perfect hair that’s thicker and healthier. I purposely postponed writing about my experience to give me time to see just how effective their treatments are and I have to say after half a month, my hair is healthier, shinier and still very straight.
I highly recommend their Brazilian Blowout which smoothens and seals the cuticle from root to tip. This treatment allows light to bounce off the surface and give every strand a long lasting and radiant shine.
Nouvelle Salon located in Fairview, corner Regalado Highway and Mindanao Ave has been in business for 4 years now and they just recently relocated to a more convenient spot.
Nouvelle meaning “new” in French is a French themed salon with gay paree details. The mood is instantly relaxing and soothing which is what I look for any time I visit one. I usually go to a salon to relax and prefer an ambiance that lends to that.
Only the finest products are used and all are made sure to be DFA approved. This is critical because there are some salons that use harmful chemicals to get the expected effect and customers don’t realize the damage until after it’s done.
Mister Joey took good care of me. Some salons are presentable from the front but once you get to the back where their sinks are it’s horrifying. Happy to say that’s not the case with Nouvelle Salon. The sinks are clean and everything is in working order.
While I had my hair treated, Kianna had a manicure. It was her first time to get a professional manicure in a salon. She really enjoyed the experience and of course she chose mint green for her nail polish.
I’m more partial to pedicures since I work so much with my hands and polish would easily chip.
I was feeling a little bold and chose a bright pink color. I like it much better in the sunlight than in the dark.
Final result of my Brazilian Blowout! Shiny and healthier. With hair like mine that’s been treated with harsh chemicals, a Brazilian Blowout was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Please note though that if you have any plans of getting your hair rebonded or colored a Brazilian Blowout would best be done after those treatments. Getting a Brazilian Blowout before getting your hair rebonded or colored negates the purpose of having the expected effect of healthier and shinier hair.

Oh this looks so relaxing. I used to go to salons in India but since I have moved to Manchester I havnt been able to go to one. the closest was when I went for a hair cut. 😛
You can see the complete different from before and after treatment. Nothing can beat a day treatment in Salon. Having ourselves enjoying all the treatment and relaxation. BTW, both of you look lovely.
