Biking is one of those firsts and achievements that we look forward to as parents. For about a couple of years now we’ve been wanting to get Jael a bike and we were finally given the perfect one, a Spiderman bike for kids that was just right for his age.
I remember when I rode my first bike and how thrilling and exhilarating it was. I learned when I was around 7 years old and always loved to bike. Living in a bike friendly place I was able to bike around everywhere. I would sometimes bike to and from school until the issue of safety became a cause of concern. Safety of the bike that is!
It was an early Christmas for this little guy and he was thrilled to get his favorite superhero! We live in a condo on the 5th floor so it’s a bit tough going up and down with it. Luckily, daddy and kuya are there to bring it downstairs for him so he can ride around on it.
We got a 16″ Spiderman bike for him which fits his height and age (5 years old). JS Philippines Global is a toy distributor of popular toy brands such as Disney, Marvel, Crayola and more.
They bridge products and users through connecting with carefully selected manufacturers and have evolved from being a trader/supplier of unbranded toys to being a trusted licensee and distributor of some of the world’s best loved brands.
This has a heavy-duty black and blue steel frame with a Spiderman die cut face plate, decals and designs. It has training wheels which is ideal for beginners and can be removed when he can ride on his own.
The handles are made of a soft rubber and the brakes aren’t hard to clutch. Jael can easily maneuver and has no problems with the brakes.
All the parts are sturdy and decals are not stickers but painted on for a lasting design.
The seat is plastic yet soft enough for kids not to be uncomfortable while riding this bike.
Plastic pedals so that chances of scrapes and injuries are much less.
The chain guard protects both the chain and Jael from getting hurt. With the Spiderman design it makes it even more kid friendly.
Wheels are made of a nylon Yida brand. The tread is of course new so we’ll see over time how long it lasts.
So far Jael has biked around a few times. He really enjoys it although he hasn’t yet grasped the proper way of pedaling. He does a kind of stop go on the peddles but we know he’ll get the hang of it. The important thing is not to pressure him as it’s natural for him to learn it at his own pace.
Safety is a number one priority when it comes to biking that’s why it’s important to always have your child wear a helmet.
The Spiderman bike and other JS Philippines Global distributed toys can be bought at SM Hypermarket, Toys R Us, Toy Kingdom, and Rustans.
