It seems that all boys (and some girls) go through a dinosaur phase. My eldest, Bastian was a dinosaur enthusiast and even built up to knowing all those dinosaur names, eras and facts and figures. He grew out of it BUT I think he’s still a dinosaur lover because he has this T-Rex backpack. Since Jael loves dinosaurs I’m always on the lookout for dinosaur activities. We have a few ideas to share so here goes.
Dinosaurs Island Clarkland
When I found out that there was a dinosaur park that we could visit in Pampanga I think I was more thrilled than Jael! Dinosaurs Island Clark is definitely worth a trip. Aside from the huge park full of life sized dinosaurs, there’s a mini museum and a trail where you can ride a cart and get scared by dinos. At the time Jael was 3 years old so he was terrified but at the end of the day he enjoyed it so much!
If you want to bring your kids to Dinosaurs Island Clarkland there’s a great deal on Ensogo where tickets are 43% off!
The Mind Museum
Our trip to the Mind Museum was so much fun for Jael particularly the Dinosaur Exhibit. The exhibit has so much to explore but Jael particularly enjoyed the Fossil Dig where he got to play and pretend to dig up fossils.
Dinosaur Books
If you don’t have a chance to visit Dinosaurs Island Clark or The Mind Museum just yet you can opt for some indoor activities, our favorite being reading! We’ve collected quite a few books and here are some favorites. Reading is a simple yet very beneficial activity for both child and parent.
Aside from them learning, you’re able to truly bond with them and make them feel important and comforted. Why important and comforted? For me being a work at home mom it’s hard to put limits to a child but they do understand when you don’t have time for them. When you take the time to do activities such as reading it lets them know they’re important and worth the time. They gain comfort in the thought that you’ve set aside time for them.
Dinosaur Toys
Jael has so many dinosaurs and when we took this picture I wondered where the rest were! There’s so much creativity in play and we love it when Jael plays with his dinosaurs and re-enacts scenes and creates scenarios.
When Jurassic World hit the theatres we were thrilled to watch a block screening. Jael asked for Jurassic World toys and we considered buying it for him. While we were at the toy store we considered options and Jael chose this dinosaur. It was a bit costly at Php1299 but we feel a worthy purchase. Honestly, we don’t buy toys throughout the year. Jael receives toys on Christmas only. If he should get toys it would be those from kiddie meals.

We went through this phase also, collecting toy animals… and my younger son was then very fond of Dinosaurs, too. So, we also had those books! LOL
Wow I didn’t know there was a dinosaur park in Pampanga…
My son’s currently into dinos as well after having watched Jurassic World. Hope we can visit the one in Clark sometime soon before he gets too old for such things hehe.
We were here last year for my son’s school fieldtrip. It was a good place to teach kids about dinosaurs, but was a bit too real for some of the kids (ages 5-6), especially the Jurrasic Safarri “adventure” Ride. A child or two ended crying hysterically while dinos chased the motorized carts. My son had fun though, but I had to keep assuring him these dinos are fake.
We’ve been to Dinosaur Island at Clark Pampanga last December pero sa labas lang 🙂 If your handsome son is into dinosaurs, my son is into robots naman.
My little kid loves dinosaurs too and she had this little green area for dinosaur toys only. 🙂 but she don’t want to watch the movie.
I want to bring my little girl there! She loves dinos too 🙂
oh my! this is quite close to our place. will definitely visit the Dino Island while we’re in Pampanga 🙂
I have baby girls and surprisingly, they love dinosaurs too. They love playing with my brother’s giant dino toys 🙂 Good thing hindi pa sila nagpapabili ng dino books :))
We went to Dinosaur Island last January! Ykaie was very scared because of how real the dinosaur looks.
