RTL CBS Asia Summer Fair at Bonifacio High Street

Another summer event with the kids and it was awesome! We enjoyed the RTL CBS Summer Fair held at Bonifacio High Street and this 2 day fair is definitely worth a visit. As you know RTL CBS is home to some of my favorite shows, mainly House of Cards and Scorpion. Their upcoming line up features some of the most awaited shows on TV but more about that later. The summer fair is from May 29-30 from 1:00pm to 12 midnight. All you have to do is register and you’ll enjoy an afternoon of summer treats and entertainment. Check out my post below to see why this summer fair is one you shouldn’t miss. We got some Baskin Robbins ice cream and their featured flavors were Toasted Coconut Crunch, Cherries Jubilee, and Movie Theater Popcorn. I enjoyed Cherries Jubilee while the kids went for Movie Theater Popcorn. My teens enjoying their Baskin Robbins ice cream. At the Krispy Kreme booth you get to make your own doughnut. Bastian gave this a try but opted not to put sprinkles. Kianna went for the cotton candy and we were all amused watching how it was made. There were also kiddie favorites, Purefoods hotdog on a stick and chicken nuggets. The summer heat was quenched with C500 juice drink. At the Globe booth you can check out the perfect plan that suits...

Breakout Philippines Escape Room Game

We learned the hard way we couldn’t yet it was so much fun trying to break out. I had been hearing about this escape room game for quite awhile now and I was excited to try it with Bastian. I’m a zombie apocalypse fan and I like challenging games. Breakout Philippines has made it so that you are immersed in a realistic setting that will challenge you both emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically. Don’t worry there’s no heavy lifting or any actual physical exertion but you will do some searching. The success of an escape room game is the secrecy that shrouds it. Breakout Philippines is proud to say that their rooms have been carefully kept under wraps. If you try and Google the rooms and clues you’ll turn up empty handed. At Breakout Philippines you have 5 rooms to choose from- Room 13, The Heist, Limbo, Outbreak Manila, and Prison Room. We went for of course, Outbreak Manila: Adarna’s Lair which involves a zombie outbreak. Unfortunately, I can’t share more than that BUT our experience made us want to come back for more. You get hooked trying to figure it out and the good thing is they offer a lifetime membership card wherein you pay a one time fee of Php500. You can keep going back and solve all the rooms! Their rates are reasonably priced for this...

Yummy Magazine Big Baon Blowout at Trinoma

With the success of Yummy Eats it’s no wonder that a similar concept, this time for baon ideas has become another event. I was very much looking forward to Yummy Magazine Big Baon Blowout held at Trinoma mall. I brought along the kids so they could also have a try of the concessionaires that would be setting up booths there. It was very much a family affair and the kids enjoyed trying new food and drinks. Apologies for the quality of the photos below but with a 4 year old in tow, balancing my tray and camera it was a bit difficult to take decent pictures. There were over 30 concessionaires offering a variety of snack and meal ideas. There were also cooking demos and raffle activities. Guest chefs included Yummy Magazine team’s Erickson John “Idge” Mendiola, Assistant Managing Editor, Katrina Luisa “Trikna” Gonzales, Assistant Style Editor, and Ma. Rachelle “Rach” Santos, Food Director. Smart Parenting contributing writer, Michelle Aventajado, and Good Housekeeping Food Editor, Roselle Miranda, also whipped up a few recipes for the participants. Idge Mendiola, Yummy Assistant Managing Editor Yummy Big Baon Blowout is by Yummy Magazine together with Smart Parenting, Good Housekeeping, Total Girl and K-Zone. This event was co-presented by Aquiva, and sponsored by Datu Puti and Lady’s Choice, and major sponsors Goldilocks, Bounty Fresh Chicken, and Hunt’s Pork & Beans. We enjoyed the Schweet Street and found a...

All New SM Foodcourt at SM Fairview

We dine at SM Foodcourt at SM Fairview once in awhile and have a few favorites there. I was surprised to see that they had renovated and redesigned it without my noticing! I’m at SM Fairview almost every weekend and surely pass by the SM Foodcourt but didn’t notice any major reconstruction going on. The new SM Food court has a new dining layout taking out the many booths and replacing them with tables and chairs instead. Good move since sometimes there are only 1 or 2 people who occupy a whole booth. This way more people get a chance to dine at the foodcourt. You’ll see that there is now a uniformity to each outlet and the overall theme is wood and blacks and yellows. It has a cleaner and minimalist look. SM Foodcourt is know for it’s many food options and serve a wide range of cuisine. Literally, anything you’re craving for you’ll most probably find at SM Foodcourt. I was thrilled to be invited to experience the newly designed foodcourt and try some dishes being served there. Lydia’s Lechon Sisig Hooray Tropical Hut Davao Tuna Grill Mr. Kimbob Goto King Plus Harvester’s Vegetarian Ted’s La Paz Batchoy Pepper Lunch Inihaw Express Casa Norte Oriental Bowl Greenwich Sizzling Plate Marciana’s Ohayo Takoyaki Sisig Hooray Handaan Grande Famous Belgian Waffle There are many more food choices now and...

Nuti10 Plus Syrup for Active Kids

Lately, I’ve been having a problem with Jael’s appetite. He’s not a big eater and when he does eat on his own it’s not much. I end up feeding him to make sure he eats the right amount. He has an appetite for certain food (snack foods and sweets). It’s a big difference from my two teens who at Jael’s age were strong eaters. I’m probably one of the few moms who didn’t give vitamins to her kids, firstly because all my kids are breastfed and secondly they were healthy. Seeing Jael though with his appetite I decided to...
