The kids were asking if we could watch this in the theater so when we were invited to the block screening by Jollibee to watch The Spongebob Movie it was the perfect opportunity. All of my children like Spongebob even my oldest Bastian who’s 14 and Kianna who’s 13.
They find it very amusing and funny and of course being a middle-aged parent I couldn’t see the humor as much. I guess that’s how my parents felt when I used to watch The Simpsons! Yes, that’s how old I am!
Before heading to the movie we went to Jollibee for some “langhap sarap” fills. I have an on-going contest for the upcoming Jollitown Funtasy Land family event happening on April 11. Get a chance to win 4 tickets! There’ll be 3 winners!
It was enjoyable for me because we were out as a family although Oliver and I would have rather watched Fast and Furious 7!
The kids really enjoyed the movie. Jael constantly laughed and even Bastian and Kianna found it hilarious. They liked the rap part at the end because it was from a you tuber they follow.
As you can expect the storyline was just out there but obviously this is what kids like about it. There were moments that even Oliver and I found funny.
The Jolly Kiddie toys at the moment are the Spongebob crew and Jael was able to get Spongebob. We were aiming to collect Patrick and Mr Krab but already they’re out of stock.
