The yuletide season has finally arrived! The SM Fairview Christmas Grand Launch happened on November 8 and I was excited to attend and find out what was in store this Christmas holiday.
The Atrium was booming with joyful Christmas music and the decorations were elaborately displayed. There was a big Christmas tree, a fireplace and presents scattered all around giving an even more joyous feeling to the event. You could tell there was plenty in store and that SM Supermalls is going to make this season a memorable one.
There were many in attendance and the kids were dressed in Mickey Mouse clothes and accessories to celebrate the opening of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse area perfect for holiday photo ops.
Mr Mark Louie Santa Ana, SM Mall Manager started off with a short introduction of the yearly launch that SM Supermall does for the holidays. The Philippines is well known for celebrating the Christmas season as early as November and SM is giving us a spectacular Christmas this year. We can expect shows, activities and merry markdowns at the SM Department store.
This year’s much awaited events and activities were introduced through a Christmas Story told by a lovely lady. The program had 5 segments marking the importance of the life, love and light that the season gives us every year.
The festivities started with a Dance to Life exquisitely executed by these beautiful ballerinas of The Kids of Halili Cruz School of Ballet.
In Sing to Life, The SM Little Stars winners delighted with a song number.
Carols to Life was courtesy of The Mandaluyong Children’s Choir who serenaded us with 3 songs.
Surplus Shop Endorsers also gave us song renditions of Christmas favorites.
SM Supermalls Gives to Light with their SM Bears of Joy initiative. You can make a child happy this Christmas by purchasing a Bear of Joy for only Php200. You keep one bear and the other is donated to a child from various orphanages and charitable institutions. Don’t forget to tag when purchasing your bears.

Councillors helped share about the Get a Bear Give a Bear program.
Give to Light was the perfect way to give presents to deserving children courtesy of the SM Cares program.
Santa also dropped by to join in the gift giving. The jolly old fellow gamely took pictures and gave his usual jolly laugh.

The grand Mickey Mouse Clubhouse delighted the children and there were plenty of photo opportunities. Your children’s favorite show is available on DVD at the SM Department store movie/music section. You can also get apparel, shoes, and toys from their clothing and shoe section and Toy Kingdom.

Wow! Iba talaga ang pasko sa Pinas! I’m glad we’ll be coming home to celebrate Christmas in the Philippines this year.
Went to SM Fairview yesterday but didn’t see this beautiful stage. All that was left was the Mickey Mouse Club House theme. It looks nice but what I don’t like is that the kids aren’t allowed to go near the fixtures. You can just take your picture outside the perimeter area.
Looks like a fun event! I hope they’ll have a similar Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are at the SM mall nearest us. SM Fairview is too far from our place.
I wish they can have it in our nearest SM too 🙂
The much awaited The Christmas Grand Launch 2014! Ang saya naman. I will support the Bear of Joy, may stuffed toy na anak ko, nakatulong pa ko for only Php 200.00 not bad na. Do you have any idea kung magkakaroon rin sila ng Christmas Grand Launch sa SM MOA?

I am so excited for Christmas! I love seeing happy faces of children. SM always makes the Yuletide season so special with these events.
Ooh! We took part in their Get a Bear Give a Bear program! We took lots of photos to show our now 10-month-old of his first time to share something with someone who needs some cheering up. I think it’s great that SM makes it easy for shoppers to give, especially this Christmas. I hope to hear about when they actually give the bears to the kids! Thanks for this post 🙂 Love the photos.
