I’ve been hearing about Stacy’s and I’ve been wanting to check out this little piece of heaven. I won the best Twitter post for April through Enjoy Philippines for my post about our Great Image shoot and got GCs to Stacys BGC or Capitol Hills as my prize.
We finally found the perfect time to use it. After a morning at The Mind Museum we decided to have lunch at Stacy’s which was just a hop away. Entering the place you’re immediately transported to a whimsical, fun and relaxed setting. I loved the decorations and the vintage pieces. The gumball machine and pink phone were just too cute for words!
After being seated we were given a mug of goodies to tide us over as we waited for our order. Jael had a go at it devouring the pretzels and popcorn. Utensils are supplied at the table and are in a mason jar.
The table set up is very reminiscent of home with a simple tablecloth and flowers.
Stacys BGC has a second floor with more seating, a powder room and the kitchen. The powder room was clean and had all the necessities.
We opted to dine on the first floor because they had a play area which was perfect since I had Jael with me. He quickly found a toy to play with which occupied him a bit.
As my mom and I ate and chatted Jael spent his time here in the play area which was considerably clean.
Triple Chocolate (Php115)
The first of our order to arrive were the milkshakes and Jael and I were excited and happy to try it.
I’m like a little kid when I’m around chocolates, anything sweet and milkshakes! They were both delicious and I would order either one again.
Malted Milo (Php125)
Manila Pride (Php235)
My mom chose one of their Lovin’ Spoonfuls and loved the eggs which were creamy and fluffy. The boneless bangus was tasty and because my mom couldn’t finish her meal she took it home. It was still good the next day!
We had eggs earlier that morning which were just satisfactory and more expensive so this was definitely a thumbs up.
Apple County (Php205)
I was in the mood for a sandwich and this was the only option but it was superb. When I first read the description of mayo with apples and grapes I thought the fruits would be on the side but it was mixed in with the mayo and chicken.
Surprisingly, the fruits and mayo complimented each other. The bread was of a croissant variety and was airy yet filling. Included is a side of fries.
Suggestion: Please add more sandwich options! This was so good!
Devils Food Cake (Php125)
Dessert consisted of 2 cakes. My mom used to bake so I asked her what she thought would be good.
They had 10 cakes on the menu but only had about 5 available. We ended up choosing 2 kinds of chocolate cake.
Devil’s Food Cake was a surprise because from what we knew it was a full on chocolate cake but their version of it has a different icing that seemed to be either a marshmallow or meringue. The cake itself was a tad bit dry and had chocolate chunks. If it had chocolate icing and the cake was a little bit more moist it would have been better.
Choco Lava with Vanilla Ice Cream (Php145)
Of the 2 desserts this was the best. The cake itself is pretty ordinary but the ice cream and the hot chocolate syrup at the bottom made it a heavenly mix. We all 3 shared this and it capped our meal off nicely.
Saw Stacys from the outside and the place looks really nice! Have yet to try their food!(:
