Wellness of a Work at Home Mom

How healthy are you? Most likely your sense of well being is told by how heavy you are. However, wellness covers more than just the physical. It covers the nutritional, medical, lifestyle, psychological, vice, and sex aspect as well. All these should be taken into consideration when gauging our wellness. As a work at home mom you would think wellness would be easier to have and maintain. Having worked at home for 3 years I’ve come across obstacles in keeping myself healthy and happy. I was introduced to a Wellness Index done by a Top HMO provider in the Philippines,...

The Mind Museum: Science Heaven

I’ve been wanting to bring my children to The Mind Museum for the longest time but either time would not allow or my budget just wouldn’t suffice. When I attended Blogapalooza 2013 I joined the contest that The Mind Museum had and I was lucky enough to be one of the first 20 bloggers to post about them (read it here). I got 3 tickets which I put on the backburner for almost a year. One fateful Saturday when ironically Blogapalooza 2014 was cancelled we decided to head on over to Fort Bonifacio and go to The Mind Museum....

Liebster Award

I’m so honored that Art of Being a Mom has been nominated for a Liebster Award! Thank you so much for nominating me Vee of Made Actually! Here are the Rules: You have to link back to the person who nominated you. You must answer 11 questions given to you by the person that nominated you. After completing these questions you must nominate 11 bloggers and give them 11 questions of your choice. You must not nominate the person who nominated you. You must let your nominees know that they have been nominated and provide a link to your post for them so that they can learn about the nomination. Vee has suggested to continue using the questions that Life with Lorelai used when nominating her. I changed 1 question though. Questions and Answers: 1. Why and how long ago did you start blogging? I started blogging in 2010 because I love to write and when I finally had the time to do it, blogging was the most accessible and easy platform. 2. What is your favorite craft or home decor store? I don’t have a favorite craft or home decor store. 3. Is there something you learned late in your blog journey that you wished you knew before? Yes, there’s a ton of things but I think that’s all part of learning and making yourself along with your blog...

Stacys BGC

I’ve been hearing about Stacy’s and I’ve been wanting to check out this little piece of heaven. I won the best Twitter post for April through Enjoy Philippines for my post about our Great Image shoot and got GCs to Stacys BGC or Capitol Hills as my prize. We finally found the perfect time to use it. After a morning at The Mind Museum we decided to have lunch at Stacy’s which was just a hop away. Entering the place you’re immediately transported to a whimsical, fun and relaxed setting. I loved the decorations and the vintage pieces. The gumball machine and pink phone were just too cute for words! After being seated we were given a mug of goodies to tide us over as we waited for our order. Jael had a go at it devouring the pretzels and popcorn. Utensils are supplied at the table and are in a mason jar. The table set up is very reminiscent of home with a simple tablecloth and flowers. Stacys BGC has a second floor with more seating, a powder room and the kitchen. The powder room was clean and had all the necessities. We opted to dine on the first floor because they had a play area which was perfect since I had Jael with me. He quickly found a toy to play with which occupied him a bit. As...

Royal Carribean Jamaican Patties

I was invited to try the food at Royal Carribean Jamaican Patties and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity when I found myself in Fort Bonifacio with Jael and my mom. Located at the 5th floor of Market Market! near the cinemas and games area, they have a quaint spot with suitable seating. They also have a couple of tables right in front which is ideal for families having a quick snack as the kids play. They have a booth in the back for larger groups. The interior definitely has that Jamaican vibe with all the colors that represent the...
