I was ecstatic to learn that there would be a food bazaar at SM Fairview. Food bazaars are usually all the way across town meaning the Fort, Makati, Eastwod, etc. That’s the one thing lacking in the Fairview/ Novaliches area. A place to hang out till the wee hours of the morning eating good food while listening to pleasant music. That’s why when I heard about a food bazaar Eats @ SM Fairview which I was invited to by Alpha Corporate Events I was both curious and excited.
Eats @ SM Fairview will be happening every weekend until October from 7pm-2am.
Despite the rains I decided to visit the food bazaar. The event was held at one of the SM Fairview parking lots.
Giant white tents were set up in expectancy of the rain I suspect but also a great way of giving shelter to those who are on their way home and who will browse and end up buying food!
I was there on the second night and even though it was pouring out there were many customers lining up to try the different food offerings.
I tried the Roast Beef from Mrs Po’s Recipes and it was good. I love Roast Beef and the beef here was tender and the mashed potatoes smooth.
I highly recommend Concoction’s Pork Sisig Omelet. It’s one of a kind and very filling. They make the omelets on the spot and as you can see the jolly owners also make you smile while you wait.
There was a vendor that had grilled seafood of different varieties which would be cooked at your request.
Of course, there were traditional Filipino dishes for those that crave homemade cooking and rice!
I tried Big J’s Sausages Hungarian Sausage Sandwich and it was quite tasty. They also offer other varieties and rice meals.
If you’re craving for pasta and pizza then you’ll have your pick as there are plenty of choices.
My recent trip to Vigan had me experiencing a true blue empanada and it was a treat to have been able to eat Vigan emapanada again from Manang Joy Special Empanada. It’s indeed a joy to watch as they prepare your empanada for you.

There’s also a fruit stand for those looking for light and healthy snacks.
The only drinks being offered at the time that I was there were coconut drinks from Coco Vida. There were also the usual softdrinks, juices, etc being offered by SM.
I was thrilled to see that MedChef was part of the bazaar. I love MedChef and I miss their bars and cookies! When I was still working at a call center located in the ABS CBN building I would have my MedChef fix almost everyday. They were just right across from it!
I hadn’t tried their Creamcheese Brownies yet but since they were bestsellers I opted for that. Jael also loved them and so the following night (we had gone back the next night) I stocked up on their bars. I love their Revel bars and Brownies. I’m crossing my fingers that they’ll be back this weekend and all the weekends to come until October.
There were plenty of native delicacies as well. I got to try Armi’s Cakes and Pastries bestselling Cassava which was indeed delicious.

My sweet tooth was pleased to find that there was someone selling cupcakes! Babes & J Confections had these creamy red velvet cupcakes and they were so cute to look at.

To top off the night I had a Chocohazelnut ice cream bar from Picole.
You’ll also be serenaded while you dine by singers from Center for Pop Music. You can have an up close and personal view at one of the tables designated in front of the stage.
Open on Thursdays to Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., EATS @ SM Fairview dining adventure will begin on July 31-August 2 and will run until October 23-25 at the Transport Terminal of SM Fairview, Quezon City.
For food bazaar vendors who are interested in joining, please contact Alpha Corporate Events at 09178862872 or at [email protected].

Two thumbs up with this review. I was here every night of the event to try all the food they are offering and I have to spend 30 minutes every night just to decide what I would try next. I have tried Ribs Express Roast beef with baby potatoes, Med Chef’s cakes, Domz Food House’s Tofu Bagnet Rice and laing from another exhibitor that I forgot the name, and they are all so good. I’m waiting for the next run to try their shabu shabu and Concoctions’Pork Sisig Omurice.
