In appreciation of the support that the Baby Expo Philippines has been receiving from fellow mommy bloggers such as myself, a Blog Awards will be held to recognize the efforts and writing talent of all those who blog about the Baby Expo.

This is a great way to further encourage families to join the baby expo and is also beneficial to bloggers such as myself because we are given an opportunity to highlight our blogs.

Eligibility for the blog awards is as follows.

To be eligible, a blog must have posted consistently and frequently before and during the Baby & Family Expo.
Bloggers should fill up the Registration form that will be sent via e-mail on or before November 4, 2013.
Every time a blogger posts, they are highly encouraged to send the link of the article/s.
After the expo, bloggers must fill up the accomplishment forms on or before December 10, 2013.
Awarding will be on December 14, 2013.

To have entries for the blog contest, blogger can write about the event itself, press releases, and topics that can be related to the seminars at the expo.

There are 8 categories in all for the Mom Blog Awards. To be eligible for the contest, bloggers must consistently and frequently write before and during the Baby Expo. Here are the descriptions and criteria for each award.

Best Baby & Family Expo Blog Post

This award is for outstanding examples of feature writing on the Baby & Family Expo. The award winning post might feature the fun-filled activities, educational talks, Golden Family Awards, etc. However, the judging criteria will focus on quality of the writing, the expression of the blogger’s unique voice and insightful expression by the writer.

Criteria:

Should be a single post (or single story broken into multiple posts for readability) expressing a unique point of view about the Baby & Family Expo.
Should be an original and quality blog that conveys an insightful experience of the expo.

Best Photo Blog

Criteria:

Should present a compelling visual experience for readers using original photos taken during the expo.
Should have made an extra effort to present its subject matter in a highly visual and graphic manner that is both entertaining, educational, and thought provoking.

Best Video Blog

Criteria:

Should present a compelling visual experience for readers using original videos taken during the expo.
Should have made an extra effort to present its subject matter in a highly visual and graphic manner that is both entertaining, educational, and thought provoking.

Best Writing on an Insight from a Talk

Criteria:

Should be an original and quality blog.
The subject of the post should be about an insight from any of the educational talks during the expo.

Most Inspiring Blog

Criteria:

Should be an original and quality blog.
Content should have an impact and be able to move the readers.

Most Creative Blog

Criteria:

Should be an original and quality blog.
Writing style and presentation of the blog should be unique

Most Promising Mom Blog

Criteria:

Should have the first blog entry posted no earlier than one year before the expo begins.
Should have already made or show potential to make an impact on parenting / motherhood via its writing, number of followers, etc.
Should present a credible appearance as a serious new entry in mom blogging, based on graphics, title, depth of posts, etc.

Best Overall Baby & Family Expo 2013 Mom Blog

Criteria:

Should continually produce entertaining and educational information about the Baby & Family Expo before and during the event.
Should contain well-written and well produced posts.
Should demonstrate independent and original ideas and insights.
Should be able in its overall form, content and presentation to advance the advocacy of Baby & Family Expo 2013 advocacy - family development and child care.
