You may have heard the tagline “Milk, it does a body good.” It’s from a commercial from way, way back but it has always stuck with me. I’ve been a fresh milk drinker since I was 5 years old. I drink it plain, with chocolate syrup, and sometimes have it with cereal. I’ve also had my own children drink fresh milk and it’s a real treat for them. So when I was presented with a chance to participate in an event to promote the benefits of milk, I eagerly accepted.
Jolly Cow is one of the first brands developed by Fly Ace, an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company. Fly Ace Corporation, the owner of the Jolly Cow brand, is also the company behind popular products such as Jolly Mushrooms and Claro Palm Oil.
Having previously sourced their milk from New Zealand, they are now sourcing from Germany for a creamier taste and fuller butter fat content. They have focused on ensuring good quality so that fresh milk has a longer shelf life, an affordable price, and availability in all stores and markets. Jolly Cow Fresh Milk is 100% natural and has been proven to be creamier because of its 3.5% butterfat as compared to other brands with only a 3.25% content of butterfat.
To get children to drink and enjoy fresh milk every day, they have also launched a campaign “My Dream Job in a Glass of Fresh Milk.” The goal is to educate children on the importance of drinking fresh milk everyday, as it will not only nourish their bodies but their minds as well.
Some of the important points in drinking fresh milk are that it aids in nutrition during puberty, builds muscles, makes them smarter and stronger and strengthens their bone and teeth development.
On September 28 we trooped on down to Angelicum College to educate and entertain first graders on proper nutrition and the importance of drinking fresh milk.
Ventriloquist Wanlu graced the event and put smile after smile on the children’s faces. Along with these children, I, too, was interested to learn about the different kinds of puppets, the benefits of drinking fresh milk, and how to make a puppet from a sock.

It was indeed a fun and enjoyable event and surely it made a lasting impression on the kids. Just by buying fresh milk, I learned that you’re also investing in your child’s future.
