Photo Shoot Locations for any Occasion

Posted on

Virtually any place can be a photo shoot location as long as you have an excellent quality camera (I use OPPO F1s). I used to be really shy about taking pictures. Not just of myself but of surroundings and objects if I felt that I would be catching someone’s attention. I’ve been missing out on a lot. I only realized thankfully not too, late that I’m free to take pictures of almost anything most especially myself and people won’t be upset if I do. Here are a few photo shoot locations that I discovered where you can take pictures for any occasion.

University of Santo Tomas

I discovered the beauty and infinite possibilities for photo shoots at the University of Santo Tomas when Bastian took his entrance exam for Senior High. I waited for about 4 hours and really got to take in the beautiful campus and luscious greenery. I must have walked around the entire place 3 times at least. I’m more than thrilled that Bastian will get to spend his senior high years at place as refreshing as this.

Walkways are always a nice backdrop for taking photos. The path that gets narrower and trees that get closer to one another tell a story. I took a panoramic shot of the entrance to UST and here you can get some casual shots like standing underneath the arch.

Star City

Star City has many possibilities for backdrops for photo shoots. We found this lighted tree and as you can see it makes for an attractive background. The roller coaster rides taken at different angles can be a maze for the eyes.

Usually with phone cameras you’ll get a dark and blurry shot but with my OPPO F1s I didn’t have to do anything! If you do want toa djust your settings you still have that option by going into Expert Mode. Here you can adjust your ISO, White Balance and all that good stuff.

Fairview Terraces

The garden alone gives you unlimited picture opportunities. From the art installation to the Central Tree you have photo shoot spots right there. Go further though and visit there Food Choices on the 2nd level where there are spaces and corners that will give you Instagram worthy shots

La Mesa Ecopark

We were at the park recently and witnessed an actual photo shoot of a debutante. Already this tells you that La Mesa Ecopark is a popular photo shoot location. Going around the park you’ll see bridges, steps and fields where you can take all kinds of pictures. Pre-nups and fashion pictorials are often done here as well.

Do you have any photo shoot locations you’d like to share? I’d love to hear about it and hopefully get to visit to take more pictures with my family.

Have a Family Photo Shoot with the OPPO F1s

Posted on

Studio portraits can be expensive but we moms love to capture our family by stages. Often you’ll find that studio shots gloss over your pictures and do a hell of a Photoshop job that sometimes they make you look unrecognizable. Another thing I notice is that you’re given backdrop choices and more often than not we would go for a plain colored one because the artificial forest and other scenery don’t add to the picture value.

What can you do about it? Take matters into your own hands and have your very own family photo shoot! If you’re on a budget like I always seem to be then you need to get a little creative. What do you need?

1. Beautiful surroundings
2. Willing participants
3. Energy
4. OPPO F1s

When you have all of these you’re sure to get excellent pictures from the family photo shoot that you have planned! We decided to have our’s at La Mesa Ecopark. Despite it being a Sunday afternoon it wasn’t so crowded and we were able to claim a little bit of space for our picture taking session.

It was tons more fun having a photo shoot outdoors. We tried out different poses and shots enjoying and laughing as we captured all of it on my trusty OPPO F1s. I brought a tripod with me that had a remote so we could take pictures from afar. Thankfully my OPPO F1s can take pictures in any setting. I hardly had to do any adjusting for the shots we took.

It was also a great experience for us because I’m lucky to have kids who want to spend time with their old mom! They suggested this pose and it definitely shows how fun it was to take these pictures.

No family photo shoot is ever complete for me without having one picture of just my beautiful kids. In studios you usually have to opt for another package to get this. Believe it or not they didn’t plan on wearing all white but it turned out wonderfully.

This may not be a perfect and coiffed shot but as a mom who’s primary reason for having a photo shoot is to capture these beautiful smiles I’d rather have Jael’s unruly hair and people in the background. It reminds me how Jael couldn’t stay in one place and was running around enjoying himself. It also reminds me how Bastian and Kianna were so careful to hold him as they sat on this ledge to take the picture.

Experiences like these not only give you memorable shots but experiences as well. One being “sibling goals” that had us laughing!

Pictures should capture moments and we’ve successfully done that. With my OPPO F1s I was able to take posed shots but capture shots like this that you see here where they’re laughing and happy.

Take time to preserve your family moments and plan your own family photo shoot. Aside from pictures you’ll get happy memories and form an even closer bond with each other.

Cream-O Flix Fest Gathers Creamoholics and Families for Cream-O-filled Movie Marathon

Posted on

Creamoholics and their families, friends and barkadas are in for a unique bonding experience as Cream-O gathers them for an afternoon of outdoor movie watching and munching on their favourite cookie treats.

Bringing Creamoholics together through the love of movies and eating cookies, the Cream-O Flix Fest will be held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Saturday, March 11, 2017, starting at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Family movie marathon

The Cream-O Flix Fest promises to keep the whole family entertained throughout the exciting afternoon with three movies in a row. Kids and kids-at-heart will enjoy watching “Minions” while the teens can sing to “Pitch Perfect 1”. Capping-off Cream-O’s first-ever outdoor movie marathon event is well-loved romantic-comedy “50 First Dates”.

More than watching the family-oriented flicks, Creamoholics can indulge in munching on Cream-O cookies and even in making their own personalized Cream-O cookies in “Cream-Ofied Creations”.

Personalize your Cream-O

The activity encourages Creamoholics to jazz-up their Cream-O cookies in four easy steps: choose, dip, sprinkle and drizzle. First they can choose their favorite Cream-O variant (Vanilla, Choco Fudge, Deluxe, Crinkles, Chocolate Chip, Cookies ‘n Cream and Choco ‘n Berries) and dip it in rich chocolate (milk, dark or white), peanut butter or whipped cream. They can add extra color, texture and flavor to their creations with a wide variety of toppings and even drizzle on some delicious chocolate, caramel or strawberry syrup.

Cream-O Family Shot

Other activities to look forward to include “Unlock the Popcorn Stash”, “Guess the Movie” trivia game and “I Love Cream-O” photo booth where Creamoholics can personalize the experience by putting up their names. There will also be pocket games, live acoustic band performances and raffles in between the movies. Prizes to be given away include Robinsons Gift Certificates and Fujifilm Instax mini cameras.
