Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween 2016: A Mad Hatter Party

Posted on

It’s always great fun organizing the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween event. We’re on our third year and I love how the community is so supportive of the event and each other. This year we had a Mad Hatter theme taken from the movie Alice in Wonderland.

Held at The Mind Museum, the mommies and their kids enjoyed a day of fun with their fellow mommy bloggers while winning raffle items and trick or treating! We are a very lucky community to be supported by so many brands.

The Mind Museum has a Science Circus exhibit that’s currently open until the end of January. It’s an excellent chance to learn about the awesome and amazing ways that illusions and magic are done by learning the science of it all. Visit my post about the Science Circus to know what to expect from the exhibit, prices and schedule.

My 3 helpers were awesome! We seriously couldn’t have done it without their help. Although Jael is a bit young to help out having him around was great. Seeing him enjoy and play with the other kids is something I love to watch. This year he had a combo costume being Spiderman and Captain America.

Bastian, my staunch supporter and comforting shoulder was there for me doing anything I asked. His girlfriend, Chelsea was also very helpful and I’m grateful they were both so hands on. I love this shot of us. Only my son can get me to do wacky pictures! Yes, this is wacky for me!

Kianna, my right hand girl, just needs instructions and you can set her off to do things. I love that she can make things work and do it in a timely manner. Here she is with Lani’s and Joy’s kids who were also such a big help during registration.

Our kids performed Thriller by Michael Jackson. They were quite shy but we really appreciated the effort.

During the trick or treat the kids helped by distributing the products provided by our very generous sponsors.

We asked the mommies to bring big eco bags for the trick or treat and we weren’t kidding! Here’s Lani giving out Nido 3+ milk, lunch boxes and backpack hoodies. Thank you to my Nido GUM family for always supporting our endeavors! You made a lot of moms really happy!

Our other generous sponsors:  Mekeni Picnic Hotdog, R Verdice Photography, Okasyon Filipinas, Peekabooth, Selecta Milk, Selecta Moo, Sunkist Juice, Aqua Best, Stuffink, LemonSquare Whattatops, Tupperware, Sugar Blend, Sweet Art, Glass of Sweets: Desserts and Treats, Recipe Co, Work of Love Sweet Treats, Jack n Jill Calbee Chips, Richprime: Hot Wheels, Monster High, Thomas and Friends.

Happy, thankful and blessed with these two mommies who have become my dearest friends. Till next year!

Fairview Terraces Halloween 2016 Featuring Kidzania!

Posted on

Halloween would not be complete for us without attending Fairview Terraces Halloween yearly event. Jael was very much looking forward to trick or treating while I was excited for Jael to try the Kidzania pop up.

This year their event was entitled Costume Holidays featuring Kidzania Go!, Fairy Land, Anime Land and Fright Night.

We stayed most of the day at Fairview Terraces and whiled our time away at Chilis. Kianna had accompanied us and she stayed there while Jael and I went back and forth between events.

First up was the trick or treating. There were still many stores that participated. Last year we had an awesome haul with Jael filling his pumpkin to the brim. This year Jael was not as hyper and when he was satisfied with what he got we took a break and had lunch at Chilis.

When you participate at the Fairview Terraces Halloween event you get these loot bags!

Though we’ve been to Kidzania a few times now but it’s always great fun when there’s an opportunity like this. We were lucky enough to have gotten slots even if we were walk-ins because the 1pm batch still had some free slots. They did the pop up in hourly batches where kids would get to try 4 different “careers”. Jael is too young right now to know what he wants to be when he grows up but it’s terrific that he gets to learn about the different opportunities out there.

First stop was at Vita’s Garden where the kids put a plant in a small pot. The pocket activities were about 5 minutes long and everything was well prepared for them.

At Beebop’s Gallery they ventured into a bit of painting. Jael liked mixing the colors.

Jael was so fascinated with the experiment they did at Urbano’s Lab. Combining oil, water and food coloring to create a beautiful mix.

Lastly, at Chika’s Bakery they decoated a cookie which Jael promptly ate.

After the activities the kids were treated to a dance number by the Kidzania gang.

We also enjoyed treats by Cara Mia and had their Cookie Dough and Cookies and Cream gelato.

Overall, the event was a success and we can’t wait for next year! Stay tuned to Fairview Terraces’ Facebook page for their weekly events and watch out for something special this Christmas!
