Music is a big thing in our home. We all love to listen to music and of course equally have varying tastes. The nice thing about music is it can be appreciated no matter what the genre. Bastian and Taña attended the Coke Studio Homecoming in my place because aside from me being not available it was more their vibe and time.
Coke Studio is a musical show that’s been rocking the world for 11 years now but is just on it’s 2nd year here in the Philippines. It’s a musical phenomenon that spans across 16 countries having started in Pakistan in 2007.
Season 2’s theme, Homecoming will reflect the different interpretations of what Homecoming means to the 2 artists featured each episode.
You can expect to watch a colorful mix of talented Filipino singers and bands showcasing groundbreaking, new collaborations between artists, as well as unique renditions of their original songs. OPM is very much alive and well today among the youth.

While uniting teens through music, Coca-Cola takes it a step further by enabling them to do their part for a greater cause. This year, Coca-Cola announced an industry first goal to collect and recycle the equivalent of every bottle or can it sells globally by 2030 a goal in line with the Company’s vision of a World Without Waste. This is why during all Coke Studio events, Coca-Cola encourages teens to deposit their PET bottles in designated recycling bins. The Coke Studio TuneCycle, a stationary bicycle that also grinds PET bottles, will also be a staple in Coke Studio events. These ground PET bottles will later on be turned into eco-bricks.
Coke Studio Homecoming will premiere on September 16 on ABS-CBN at 11:15 AM and via YouTube (YT.com/CokeStudioPH). Though the 13 acts will be revealed early on, 1 surprise artist remains, to be revealed on Ep. 7, November 18. There will also be a Highlights episode on November 4, and a Christmas special on December 2 where the Coke Studio Christmas song will be unveiled.
