Literally the phrase “with just a touch of a button” seems to apply to almost all areas of our modern life doesn’t it? I guess it’s a long time coming to have an online grocery shopping service app such as honestbee but they do make quite the impression. I’ve tried both their food delivery and shopping service and have come out a happy customer both times. If you’ve used the app you can see that it has several choice stores to choose from to do your shopping, the newest being S&R Membership Shopping.
I’m nostalgic for commissaries and warehouse shopping because I can still recall the giddy feeling I had when my mom would take my brother and I to get our weekly groceries. Of course, it seemed very ordinary where I grew up to shop there but here warehouses such as S&R Membership Shopping are considered a tad more special than others.
Now everyone, member or not can enjoy the exclusive products they offer from fresh produce, high-quality wines and spirits, to other world-class products. You can also avail of their famous New York style pizza, chicken and churros through the app.

The whole process is really easy and straightforward. Here are some helpful tips for you when you order from S&R.
Cart
Add your store membership to avoid the non-member fee, the amount which depends on how much you shop for-
Here’s my recent transaction of Php1,022.00 where the corresponding fee is Php51.10. Yes, I’m not an S&R member just yet. Have had plans of getting my own membership but since I mostly go there with my brother who is a member I haven’t had the need to. Still, if you plan on shopping often at S&R through the app then save yourself some money by adding your card.
Consider substitutions-
You actually have a “shopper bee” doing your shopping and just like us sometimes the item we’re wanting to buy is just not in stock. A nice little feature on the honest bee app is their “Substitute Options” where:
- Shopper bee can suggest
- You choose a substitute right there and then
- Not have a substitute
Particular shopper?-
Are you a particular shopper? Meaning do you prefer cans with no dents whatsoever or an expiration of a certain length of time? Then you can add notes to each product item to let your shopper bee know.
Be mindful of added costs-
Aside from the amount of groceries you’ve purchased, you also pay a concierge fee for your shopper bee’s assistance and a delivery fee. The good thing is if you shop for at least Php2500 worth of groceries then shipping’s free!
Your Orders
Once you’ve completed adding the products to your cart there’s a screen which shows you that your order is being processed.
*For me it’s happened that it just seems to stall. Though the screen says not to navigate away from the screen what I do is just go out of the app and check my email. If you see a summary of your order there then you’re all good. You can go back into the app and just tap out from that particular screen. Go to the Orders tab that’s at the bottom and you’ll get a summary fo the order you just placed. I had some credits so my total went from Php1292.10 to just Php292.10. Tap on the order and you’l go to the screen on the right.
Additional Steps (Check Out)
- In the first box with the clock, tap on that to choose your delivery date and time (honestbee, you’re the best!). It’s really about your convenience so you can choose when to receive your order.
- The next box is your address and there’s a built in locator but I detailed my address just to be sure. It’s just grayed out for privacy purposes.
- Third box just input your contact number.
- Lastly, choose your payment method. You can pay through your credit card or do Cash on Delivery.
Email Confirmation
Once you’ve squared everything away, you’ll get an email confirmation detailing all about your order. In the app you can check the progress and it shows you real time what step they’re on. Cool right?
My delivery came within my specified hour and we were just ecstatic. Yes, we’re very easy to please and I’m proud to say the kids are easy to please. I got a lot of points ordering the Kellogs Tri-Fun Cereal Pack.
Voila, All set for breakfast and a quick lunch or light dinner! Will be thinking of what to cook with the BBQ sauce which I got for only Php50!
