Visiting a resort you always have things that you want to do such as water sports. At Mahalta Glamping Resort you not only get to do water sports but you have plenty of other things to do while glamping. Let’s get into it shall we?

1. Mid-Ocean Exploring

We were really heading out to snorkel BUT we just ended up going pretty far out in the ocean to take in the sea and all its glory. I told you in my first post on Mahalta it was a weekend of me letting loose and trying new things and I have to say this was pretty adventurous for me. You could almost say crazy. Why, is that you ask? Well I went into the ocean with no life vest and I don’t know how to swim. Yes, you read that right. I was assured though because our friend Arthur was once a lifeguard and so I felt safe getting into the ocean.

2. Learning how to Kayak

What a feat! I actually learned how to kayak! With help from Arthur I was able to learn how and only after a few tries, too! Don’t believe me? See the video below.

Kayaking is a sure-fire activity that kids will enjoy. An intriguing piece of equipment are the transparent kayaks that they have at Mahalta.

3. Swinging Fun

A resort with swings is a first for me. I can’t recall a resort having swing sets all around. It was one of the best parts because for one it took me back to my childhood and second it gave me a fun yet peaceful opportunity to reflect on my life and what’s to come.

4. Hammock Down Time

I’d been able to lie in hammocks when I was a kid but as an adult? Not so much. Mainly it was because of my weight and so if I was given an opportunity I wouldn’t for fear of falling over or just breaking it.

I spent a lot of down time on their nicely woven hammocks. I even fell asleep for a spell but transferred to my comfy tent’s bed for a longer nap. There were also nice conversations had and one in particular was with the realization that at that moment in our lives we were free of responsibility. We even joked about not going back to reality mainly work!

5. Riding ATVs

Another exciting feature is their ATVs. Imagine riding an ATV in the summer heat on a sandy beach. Sounds pretty awesome to me. Kids and adults alike will definitely enjoy this activity.

6. Windsurfing

I didn’t have the guts to try it myself. Aside from the fact that it looked painful it just seemed too hard! I did enjoy taking videos and pictures of my friends trying to ride it. For sure this will be one of the highlights of Mahalta’s water sports activities once they open.

7. Bonfire Stories

Evenings will be well spent around a bonfire with stories and laughter. They have an area designated for just that. We weren’t able to roast any marshmallows but I enjoyed the stargazing and soaking in the night.

So there you have it! Just 7 of the things you can do at Mahalta. Believe me, there’s much more to do!

Once this fabulous resort opens you’ll be the first to know! Check out my other two posts:
