Ayala Malls Vertis North hosts the ASEAN Food Festival from May 11-14. Dishes from neighboring Asian countries such as Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar and our very own the Philippines. The food festival features top notch chefs, local delicacies as well as exotic dishes from ASEAN countries, and indie performances.
Vertis North is the newest development in Quezon City and is a short walk from Trinoma. The food festival is held in the north parking and housed in a giant white tent. It was very spacious, relaxed and well ventilated. A key point for me when it comes to events like this.
Entrance to the event is only Php50 which includes a free beverage.

Local chefs reinterpret the best dishes from ASEAN’s Southeast Asian partners. Chef Genen Gonzales whips up dishes from Myanmar and Laos while Chef Myke Tatung Sarthou brings Singaporean flair. Chef Rob Pengson lends a hand to create savory dishes from Cambodia and Brunei. Restaurants Wild Ginger brought Thailand and Vietnam and Berjaya Hotel presented authentic dishes from Malaysia.

Pinoy chefs Chef Gene Gonzales, Chef Claude Tayag and Chef Vincent Garcia give a taste of Pinoy favorites and Kapampangan dishes. Regional delicaices such as Laoag Empanada, Sulipan by Cafe Ysabel, Duck Ham from EDL Farms, Alavar Crabs, pasalubong products from Region IVB and Pancit Lucban from Buddy’s by Chef Vince Veluz.
The food festival kicks off with performances by indie faves, Reese Lansangan and Franco.
