What can we do to keep our kids pre-occupied this summer? Well, we search for summer activities that are both worthwhile and in my case inexpensive. Ayala Malls have great activities throughout the summer and this time around with the launch of “PLAY” we can expect a summer of musical live shows, rugby, a game fest and more.
Kianna and I attended the launch at Glorietta where we got a peek of what to expect. I don’t have as much time as I’d like to spend with my kids so events like these are ways to spend time with them. This time around Kianna and I had a day together. The funny thing is we had actually had an argument the day before. As a person one of my challenges is my pride, as a mother though I try and put that aside. I was happy that at the end of the day Kianna and I were more than okay.
To get to the main event floor we had to go through a fun inflatable maze. This is so popular right now and it was fun to do even if it was on land. The place was decorated like a child’s dream. With colorful installations and fun table top decorations.
Sam Oh hosted the event and we learned a little more about what to expect with “PLAY” time.
Shopkins Shoppies
First up is Shopkins Shoppies Live. They will be having 30-minute live interactive musical shows at the following malls:

Ultimate Summer Squad

Rugby Clinics
Rugby is the latest sport to be re-included into the Summer Olympics and is one of the sports activities by Ayala Malls. The national rugby team, Philippine Volcanoes was also in attendance at the launch. Kids will have a chance to build their confidence, stamina and camaraderie at the following clinics:

Of course, gamers are also included in the summer “PLAY” activities. Hosted by Globe, the Pinoy Game Fest will bring together 15,000 gamers for free time battling in the virtual world.

I missed attending events like this. Since I got engaged then eventually got married and had a child. I wasn’t able to attend any activity like this. Back then, most of the time, I am present in events even if I need to go in Manila. Seeing this, I miss the feeling. I am exclusively breastfeeding my baby so I don’t need to go far from him. Good thing this is an ayala mall activity and Marquee mall is accessible from us here. Thanks for the heads up, I will try to go there and cover the event too. 🙂
I’m not much of a fan of the mall, but I like that Ayala seems to have the best options out of most malls. Speaking of Shopkins, my nieces and daughter will absolutely love that! Maybe we’ll consider dropping by Ayala malls this summer after all.
