We welcomed the Year of the Rooster at the Good Life Flavors of Fortune Food Trip event at Robinsons Place Manila. The Chinese New Year celebration was filled with auspicious, traditional and festive activities celebrating the new year to come.

Good Life held a 2 day event giving families an opportunity to try authentic Chinese cuisine at the Chinoy Food Strip and do crafts such as paper lantern making, calligraphy and paper cutting at the Chinoy activity strip. Kicking off the event was a dragon and lion dance.

The 2 day celebration was a full schedule including cooking demos, cultural performances, and plenty of raffle draws! Guests were able to join by purchasing any Good Life products worth Php90.00 at Robinsons Supermarket. Guests were then given passports to try the activities.

There were 8 food booths to try different Chinese dishes. Guests were able to vote for their best dish.

A Good Life Chinoy Dish Showdown was also held highlighting modern Chinese-Filipino dishes. Some of the finest hotels in Manila were featured participants, Hotel Kimberly, City Garden Hotel, Lotus Garden Hotel, Eurotel, Bayview Park Hotel, Amelie Hotel, and Best Western Hotel.

Our pick was the dish from Eurotel though it was a close call with a couple of other ones.

“Good Life aims for a holistic festivity that promotes a fortune-filled life, which includes the fusion of good food, good relationships and a good disposition in life. We want to joyfully share with the rest of the Filipinos the best of Chinese cuisine through our Asian food line Good Life,” says Fly Ace Corporation General Manager Ramon Daez.
