With so many milks in the market, it can get confusing to know which one is best for your child. There are many types of milk out there but are they all the same? I finally got my answer at a media round table discussion that I attended recently.

Dr. Agnes Calleja MD, a pediatrician was able to shed some light on this and provided me with information that put my mind at ease.

What are the types of milk you may be asking? Well, there’s whole milk, skimmed milk powder, powdered milk, cream milk, and filled milk. Are they all the same? The answer is No. Each has a different amount of serving per minerals and nutrients.

This is where I learned that the milk that I’ve been giving Jael, Nido 5+ has been providing him with all the necessary minerals and nutrients plus probiotics and prebiotics.

Though our chosen milk gives us all these itΒ should still be given hand in hand with nutritious food, exercise and a healthy lifestyle, immunization, and health counseling by trusted doctors and health practitioners.

Ms Tricia Turcuato discussed Nido’s evolvement and improvement through the years and they now have growing up milk that’s age specific. This helped me even more because I instantly knew which milk to give Jael. Children at different ages have different health requirements. Toddlers are focused more on brain development and have yet to develop immunological defenses needed to fend off diseases (thus the need for probiotics and prebiotics). 5+ kids are more focused on building healthy bones and Nido 5+ has included Calci-N just for this purpose. Both Nido 3+ and Nio 5+ contain Lactobacillus Protectus, millions of live good bacteria that helps build body defenses.

This wasΒ shared during the discussion and it really touched my heart:

“But this is a very crucial time for our toddlers.
Kids their age need things that are meant for them
You wouldn’t give clothes that are too big for them to wear;
Toys that he can’t have fun with,
or give him experiences he has yet to be prepared for.”

Sometimes, we rush and take short cuts but that shouldn’t be the case with our kids. I think it happens without usΒ even noticing. This is something good to keep in mind. I want Jael to enjoy his childhood and learn at his own pace.

I’m a very happy mom because only Nido 5+ has been able to give JaelΒ all that he needs. Another plus for me is that I don’t have any problems getting him to drink it unlike with other milks that we’ve tried. He even asks for his milk and when I give him choices of what to drink, more often than not he chooses NIDO 5+.

That’s why, to ensure that you are giving your child the right kind and amount of nutrients to support his/her overall growth and development, check the label and see the difference. With Nido 5+, I’m thankful I’ve found the right milk for Jael.
