I’ve been getting my hair done since I was 14 years old. My hair is extremely curly and frizzy. Not a good combination. I’ve always wanted straight hair and so I’ve had to maintain it by getting a hair rebond at least once a year.
Imagine putting your hair through that process for over 20 years. My hair seems to have a tinge of brown and some people think I have it colored but I jokingly tell them it’s from all the burning my hair has endured!
I used to patronize only 2 salons when it came to my hair but when I think of my 20+ years they were only really able to get it right about 5 times. They could never seem to get the front part straightened which was the toughest because I have baby hair there. I also seem to leave the salon with stiff hair despite opting for treatments to make it soft.
I decided to give Mary Pauline Salon a try last year. It was nearer to my place and would cost me less. I was a little doubtful but the result was fantastic. My hair was super straight even the front AND so soft! I thought this might just be for a week but it remained soft for months. I also had less hair loss. I made sure that my next hair rebond would be at their salon. Come this year, I find out they’ve closed. I got depressed until I come across their voucher deal on Ensogo.
For just Php1199 I would be getting a hair rebond, keratin treatment, haircut and even a spot massage. I was a little confused when I went to make my reservation because I was being directed to Sir George Salon. Turns out they’re sister companies. I had chosen their Fairview branch and luckily it was at SM Fairview, just a hop away.
Their hair rebond process takes about 4 hours but the result is so worth it.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a right after picture as I was in such a hurry to get home. Here’s my hair 4 days after I had the hair rebond. Super straight and soft. It has more volume after a couple of weeks which I think looks much better.

I’m Lala and I share your sentiments. I want to try Sir George Salon SM Fairview branch but too scared (it would be my first time if ever). Is it really worth it? Hi Lala, My experience at Sir George Salon gave me softer hair than that of Freshaire and Going Straight. I was very surprised since I was paying more for those salons and had been going to them for the longest time. They have a treatment they add that makes your hair very soft and lasts a long time.

Also, did they ask for additional fees (for damaged hair, additional hair treatment they say) or did they just accept the Ensogo coupon? Hi! Thank you! My hair is in good shape. Still straight and healthy. I’m sorry I can’t recall the name of the stylist. No additional fees but they did pitch their products which I didn’t opt for. I’m aware that happens sometimes so I make it clear before going through the process what I’ll only be paying for. 🙂
The price that you paid seems reasonable. Glad that you liked your latest rebond experience. Yes, you are right when you said that curly and frizzy is hard to manage. Just a few weeks ago, I had my hair rebonded for the first time. I was surprised because for the first time in my life, my hair is now easy to manage! Hahahaha! I think I’ll be keeping this treatment at least once a year!
your hair look nice after the rebonding and treatment! but i was once told by a hairstylist that keratin straightening treatment is actually not the best thing we can have for our hair. not very sure why, for i didn’t research deeper into it, but quoting him, it’s because it’s ultimately just having all the chemicals on the surface of our hair. i’m not sure if Mucota DYNA or Omega is available in your location? You might want to check these Japanese hair straightening treatments out. 🙂
I love your hair! I havent treated my hair for a while. This makes me want to go to he salon and have my hair fix. The price is not bad too.

Hi Lydia, I remember they offered me the same but I didn’t avail of the Keratin. I don’t think it’s a requirement to avail the MetroDeal service. Sometimes they will offer add on treatments but it’s still up to you to say yes or no.

Same hair problem! For 3 years in a row, I get my hair rebonded because it naturally curls too. And I only trust one salon in our province. So, I scheduled it during my vacation. Anyway, having a soft, straight hair makes me feel good. I definitely believe that hair is a woman’s crowning glory! No more bad hair days!
My hair is very dependent on rebonding. I’ve been doing it year after year and still can’t find a salon that’s hiyang for me. My usual problem is that my hair looks good only for a month and then it starts becoming buhaghag again. I end up tying my hair.

Xympre i trusted her because she’s a stylist…. Very expensive but im not satisfied…. As in nasunog ang buhok k.pramis!!!! So ano pa ang mahimu yah??? Kay mxki ano pa himuon nlah nd nah gd mabalik ang hair k.. Idont know what kind of bulong ang gnah gamit nlah xah hair… Ga rebond cla for the sake of money wlah clah labot mxki masunog ang hair m…kag hndi clah mag refund..
