Who’s enjoying the summer? Well, this is a pretty good summer for us. We’ve gotten to try new things, had a staycation and soon we’ll be celebrating my eldest son’s birthday. The heat is a bit extreme but despite that I decided to take the kids along to the Banana Peel Summer in the City event at UP Town Center. I hadn’t been to UP Town Center before and I was also looking forward to joining the event by Banana Peel.
Banana Peel has taken flip flops to another level by making them stylish and trendy to wear. In this summer heat, flip flops are a popular choice but they’re good all year round.
The Banana Peel event at UP Town Center was an open event to the public. Only a requirement of Php300 worth of Banana Peel slippers was needed which was available at the venue. They have a wide selection and cute and awesome designs.
We were given passports to be able to try the different booths. I was most looking forward to the Beauty and Butter and Mary Kay booths. You could also get food and refreshments from the sponsors below.
Our first stop was the Mogu Mogu booth where we played a game and won us some prizes!
Mogu Mogu is a juice drink with nata de coco in it. It’s one of Kianna’s favorite drinks.
We took a picture by this cute Beach Hut display and also won us some samples of their sun block.
Bastian had a try of Yakisoba spicy chicken noodles while Jael tried the Binggrae ice cream.
Here I am at the Mark Kay booth trying some products. I felt refreshed and liked the products I tried. On my list of things to buy!
I got a thorough manicure despite the set up and I’m now curious as to their other services. Luckily, they have a branch in Fairview Terraces so I’ll be checking them out soon.
I got to try the color changing Ruby Wing nail polish and I love how easy it is to put on and how it applies so smoothly.
The changing colors depending on if you’re indoors or outdoors.
The World Wide Fund (WWF) was also present and they offered some games as well.
Sun Cellular had some pretty tempting offers. On the spot you could get a post paid plan and brand new cellphone.
They had a play area for super sized games and Jael had plenty of fun playing.
I’m getting me some Banana Peel slippers soon but would love to see your recommended styles and designs!
